You ask a usually quiet girl "How are you doing today?" She smiles at you but then quickly glances downwards and says "Good" in her quiet, sweet voice.

After witnessing this, what would you be thinking?

Do we forget that He never spoke English or for that matter, Latin?

Then let's review, any concordance will show you that some bibles have incorrectly translated three different places with one word, hell.

Gehenna is an actual place in Israel to this day, used to burn the refuse during Jesus day, now it's a place to have picnics.

Hades is a well known word for describing the unseen, the buried, among us.

Tartarus, mentioned once in the new testament, is a place described for the stubborn demons.

Now, where do we get the word hell for all three of these different places?

Well, latin of course. Catholicism, Roman authority.

How else do you scare people into servanthood than to threaten them with a place of eternal torment or annihilation?

Read Romans 5. We have assurance from the bible itself that As in Adam all made sinners, so in Christ will all be made alive and righteous.

Rest in God's sovereign mercy and Christ finishing the will of His Father.

Smile!

The story goes that they saw the star in the east and came to king Herod and asked where the child was. No one knew so they searched and when the Magi found him they worshipped him and gave him the gifts.

I admit it had to have taken some time but many people claim it took two years. How do they come to that conclusion?

Darwinist love to talk about creation created straw men. While at the same time patting them selves on their backs, drooling over their ‘evidence’. I have been contemplating this issue quite a bit lately in an effort to find the truth. What I found out, was this.

The human fossil record from about 2.5 to 1.0 million years ago is especially sparse — only about 50 individuals are known, many of them represented by only a single tooth or jaw fragment — and the evolutionary connections from australopithecus to homo erectus, including the evolutionary relationships between habilis, ergaster and erectus, are in dire need of clarification.

• Time spans for modern humans, Neanderthals and archaic Homo sapiens (H. heidelbergensis) have been extended back beyond accepted fossil limits to accommodate recent genetic evidence that the divergence between the Neanderthal and human lines occurred around 500,000 years ago.

Single tooth,? Jaw fragment? Extended time frames to ‘fit’ the evidence?

This is the evidence you base EVERYTHING upon?

At the very least, I would say more research is needed, on both sides. Wouldn’t you?

Many many Protestants such as southern Baptists and the likes thereof state with definite knowledge that Halloween is the celebration of "Satan's birthday" and it's a satanic holiday therefore.

What concerns me is that, upon studying the history of many faiths, I can to the realization that Luther nailed his theses to the doors on October the 31st, that would be Halloween for you not so brilliant ones. With this knowledge am I to assume that many Protestants believe Luther and the Lutheran church to be Satan?

Everyone hates this party, but we don't hate eachother.
We just do it. What is the boss telling us by having this every year? Is it really about the money? Maybe he is embarrassed to hang out with us. Isn't is about more than getting together and eating food? I'm not asking him.

OK, in Luke 1, the angel Gabriel announces to Mary that she will be the mother of God.

Now, if you were engaged, and an angel told you you were going to give birth, how would you react? Would you ask "How is that possible, since I have never had sex"? No, of course not, you would assume the child would be conceived through sex with your husband, after you get married. Most couples have children after marriage, so someone telling you so would not surprise you in the least.

However, what if you planned on never having sex with your spouse? THEN you would be surprised, because it is pretty hard to have a child if you do not plan on having sex.

So how does Mary react? Let's see:

31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
...
34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Why would she be surprised if she planned on having sex when she got married? That makes no sense. Do you agree?

Are Catholics who have small families practicing birth control or do they simply give up all sex after one or two births?

Why did most good Catholics of 100 years ago have large families of five or six or more children vs today?

For example, Benamin Franklin (a Christian, not a Catholic) was one of about 17 children.

I have but one question, how does said person turn off their heterosexual feelings? Personally, if a woman stood in front of me naked, nothing would happen, but if a man did, it would. How exactly does someone turn off and on these attractions and bodily functions?

And don't use the nurture argument, it won't work, my family was a very traditionally Conservative Lutheran family.

This question is for those who say it is a CHOICE.

I asked one of my silly questions yesterday anticipating it would either be deleted or reported. Neither happened. People of all kinds just started to play with it and have a good time. Every once in a while isn't it sort of fun to just have a laugh amid all the turmoil in this place?

I found it hilarious that only about 4 people denied having the afliction I asked about.

Okay, sooo.. I need to get my girlfriend a single rose to put with her Christmas present. The problem is.. I have to bring it to school to give it to her. So, I'd have to pick up the rose the night before. I have central heating in my house. I'm worried that the heat will wilt the flower over night.. Does anybody have any suggestions to what I can do? Asking my parents isn't an option either.

I'm 16 and I go to a Catholic school and I think that I believe in God, but I think I might be gay and I've tried to stop thinking that way but it always bothers me. I stop myself thinking of guys in a sexual way and instead I try to think of girls but it's not changing. Today we watched a video in religion class, and it was about young people having bad influences. It was sort of a dramatic movie and at the start it had flashing images of all the bad influences, like drugs, media, and then one of the images was two men getting married and that really bothered me because I don't want to be like that and I know it's wrong, but how do I change?

I really WANT to be straight, it's not just because it's what society expects it's because I believe it's right, and most people would just say "there is nothing wrong with that" but I think there is, so how do I change myself?

Those who are always saying that they were a 'former Christian', that is such a lie! Well you obviously weren't a strong Christian by any means. You need to get your facts straight before you say that you 'used' to be saved and 'used' to love Jesus, because if you say you were a Christian before, here's my question for you: How can you possibly walk away from something so spectacular? If you were really once a Christian, you would never want to walk away from believing in someone so amazing. And it's so hypocritical to say that when you 'were' a Christian that God spoke to you (as many Christians say) but then you go to being an atheist and say that God never spoke to you. It just blows my mind away.
