I almost never read that stuff. Once in a while I'll see something that cathces my eye, but extremely rarely.

I do it sometimes as an answer if the passage is relevent to the question, sometimes what is on wikipedia is better written and researched that whatever I could come up with in a short space of time. But I never expect a "Best Answer" or any other comments when I do this as the information provided is not mine

I don't even bother reading those. I much rather prefer a person telling me something in his/her own words. A link as a source I can tolerate, as it's only a means of backing up what the person said, but ''copy&paste'' will never win anyone 10 points from me.

When you base your belief system on something like a Bible, I suppose you will quote it much as a scientist might their findings. What they perhaps don't realise is that to the asker of the question, the Bible (or other religious text) is not a valid source of information.

I generally give it "the thumbs down treatment."
I've already read and considered most of what's in the Bible and I wasn't impressed. Bible quotes are generally poor replacements for an honest and well thought out common sense response to most questions. The Bible is just a 2000 year old rag.... it has very few connections to modern man.

I for one, never BLINDLY paste and copy anything. I do sometimes paste and copy what provides an answer to a question. I don't care if I get picked for best answer or not.

If the question asks for a verse the place such and such is especially written, or prefer the Scriptural foundation for a conception, I furnish the verse. some ideals (practices) have huge scriptural help or foundation, such because of the fact the doctrine of purgatory; i will furnish a hyperlink then whoever is involved in examining extra advantageous can go there.

If the atomic mass of hydrogen is 1, why would it bother you that I copied and pasted the answer from somewhere? If it's 1, it's 1- no matter who says it.

If you don't want Bible verses, don't ask questions about the Bible. Don't twist verses. If you don't want links or information. Why ask a question. Why post a question that assumes knowledge, that is so in error, of history or theology and not expect to be corrected.

As a Christian, if I see an answer that is insanely long, I give it a thumbs-down. Nobody asks a question here to read a page-long essay. They want concise answers that are well thought-out.
