Many many Protestants such as southern Baptists and the likes thereof state with definite knowledge that Halloween is the celebration of "Satan's birthday" and it's a satanic holiday therefore.

What concerns me is that, upon studying the history of many faiths, I can to the realization that Luther nailed his theses to the doors on October the 31st, that would be Halloween for you not so brilliant ones. With this knowledge am I to assume that many Protestants believe Luther and the Lutheran church to be Satan?

i would personally think christians would be more holloween-crazed than christmas-crazed. christmas only celebrates one holy person... holloween is actually called all-saints day by what the church established it, and celebrates all of them! (well, saints anyways)

Um. No. I'm a Protestant, and a Baptist, and I don't think Halloween is the devil's birthday, or that Luther and the Lutheran church are satanic.

Halloween is a holiday for kids, not adults, and should be practiced with care.

Oct. 31 is All Saints Eve, a day for remembering those who have gone before. In the Christian church it has nothing to do with evil and Satan and ghosties. That is strictly a pagan thing. Something that Luther, a devout monk, would have had nothing to do with. I'm sure that the date was mere coincidence.
As for the Lutheran Church being Satan? Please... give me a break. We are mere footsteps away from the Catholic church and its beliefs, as opposed to many other protestant denominations who are miles away.

I'm a Catholic and this is a pathetic question. Get a life. We do not worship Saints [Mary]. We honor them, but we do not worship idiot.

I suspect Luther just chose that date because it is the day before All Saints' Day, when he knew the church would be filled with worshippers who would see his theses, read them, and get them talked about.

Luther Vandros never nailed his feces to a church door, that is an urban myth.

Say what? Can you compare what day someone posted some paper to the attrocities the catholic church has done? You sound like a child with your hand caught in the cookie jar and you're saying,"Look mom! Johnny has chocolate on his face, too!" I think you shouldn't be concerned trying to make another religion look bad. Why don't you concentrate on fixing the things wrong with your own.

Catholics do not worship Mary. They respect her. Do you love your mother? Do you respect your mother? Ok. Assuming your answer is yes, that is just what they are doing for Mary. Respecting the woman that gave birth to Jesus.

Fuc king close minded people on R/S I swear.

[EDIT: I am not a Christian, just a former Catholic turned Gora Sikh.]
