I also can't sleep at night from all this pain, worry and fears. Can't work as a result. All jobs require use of hands in everthing. Here I type with 2 pens to ask questions and it hurts.

Qualify for Disability.

Yes, I have gone to doctors for all things. Pain meds do not help.

No surgery on hands-- you CANNOT operate on rheumatoid arthritis. My hands are partially gnarled.

PLEASE, anyone who makes fun or jest, please be aware that what you make fun of today on a person could very will happen to you or your family member--disability. I pity the ones who poke fun, and God bless you on your genuine kindness. Please don't write if you have no compassion or sense of it.

Absolutely!!! - Telephone your nearest JobCentrePlus office and ask them to send you a Disability Living Allowance claim pack. Obviously, you'll need help from another person completing this form. You'll also need some support either from your GP or a Medical Consultant. The Dept Work & Pensions have a choice to make once your completed application has been received. They can either determine your clzaim on the basis of the answers you have provided on the claim form, or they can contact your GP/Consultant for a medical report or they can hire a local GP (not your own) to come and carry out an examination of you, complete a report and send that to the Department. At that point they then determine your claim.
There are two components to Disability Living Allowance - a mobility component and a Care component. Clearly you qualify for at least the lowest rate Care component, but if you have difficulty walking, you may also be entitled to the Mobility component.

I wish I could say yes - you qualify. But I have disabilities equally as severe as yours and I did not qualify.

Do you currently have insurance? Are you currently under a doctor's care? Do you have a medical history you can provide to social security to get benefits?

Carpal tunnel, arthritis, depression, kidney stones, mood swings, - all sound bad. But aren't disabilities that give you a clear-cut right to benefits like some others are more likely to.

What might get you benefits is your arthritis given you have gnarled hands.

Have you ever worked? If not the benefits you get will be paltry. Better than nothing, but you might want to consider going to your stat rehab agency and seeing if they will consider helping you to work. If they decide you can't work it will be easier for you to get benefits.

I really don't know if you qualify or not, but you should really seek medical attention for you conditions.. Depression is very serious.. Do you take any medication for depression?? I would think for your arthritis alone you should be able to qualify..
My Aunt had arthritis in her hands and it was very painful.. I will pray for some relief for you and good luck.. God Bless

I think it's the social security office you need to call to check on disability.

None of those things separate or together will qualify you for disability. Sorry.

It sure sounds as if you would qualify. I would seriously check into it.

Qualify for what? Pity? Sympathy? Sounds like you need to get a grip and forget about your minor problems.
