Sickness and death is not His will for Mankind, This is why He sent Jesus to take this curse upon Himself so that all the world could be healed and free from the power of sin and death. Christians should be doing the works of Christ healing the sick and raising the dead to life again but we have too many unbelieving Believers and so, where there is no faith, there are no miracles, just as it was when Jesus walked on this earth, but where there is faith, miracles happen to those that truly believe.

Who told you "God obviously against these things- sickness and the death of the body". I do not know where, and how you arrived this conclusion. You posted a lot of questions of no substances on the Yahoo Q&A. As a result, a lot of garbages
were generated. You, for one thing, made a lot of people became a higher level contributors (I wonder what they really contirbuted to the society? Internet garbages?).

The trials , sickness and eventual death of man is NOT Gods will.

This is the reward that man received from inheriting imperfection from the first sinful man Adam.

The true God - Jehovah ,. did not cause that man to make the wrong choice.
It is mans fault , and not Gods that we are this way.

Jehovah however has made it possible for mankind to come out of this sinful state and return to perfection again.

His plan on how he would accomplish this was told right at the beginning in Eden., and this is recorded for us in the Bible.

Soon the full realization of Gods plan will come to be a reality for truly loyal people on Earth.

hello Dawn,
bought some of your dish soap and it is good stuff

but to your question,

sickness in the body is the result of bacteria, virus or other causes making you sick

the method of inoculation, virulence, and incubation time in a susceptible host causes illness.

why a person is sick, natural consequence of live, or a test allowed by God is something that I am not sure anyone can know.

death is the last enemy destroyed by Christ (biblical answer here) and how a christain looks on it depends on that person and the personal relationship they have with Christ.

I have seen so many people die in front of my eyes that i'm really cold to suffering and death anymore and frankly don't care. all of us will one day die. some are sick and dying now and there is nothing we can do about it. some are poisoned and slowly living in a hell that can not be undone and there is nothing we can do about it. (gulf war, agent orange etc.)

one should look at all things as an opportunity to grow in the likeness of Christ, to learn to draw on his strength not because the human can not cope, but because the strength of God exceeds the strength of all men.

i'm not sure I have answered this as clearly as I want, but we have to look at sickness as what it is, and death as what it is.

no one denies the reality of death. no one denies the reality of sickness (apart from some strange folks)

life is what you see and so much you can not.

live everyday like its your last.

Well I threw my christianity in the bin so I couldnt provide the perspective you want. However, Id say logic suggests resist all illness. If someone had cancer, if they thought it was Gods will, then I guess theyd probably be dead sooner. I wonder, did they ever ask that blind dude who was cured in the bible, did he think it was Gods will that he was blind? I imagine no would be his answer, pure speculation, but id say he was only a metaphor in the first place.

Dawn,
We are to consider the Body as the Temple of GOD so this means we should do all that we can throughout our lives to take care of it. We should also cherish the time that we have with friends and loved ones as we may influence them to do things that are GODLY and become heirs to GOD'S Kingdom. I suggest that each of us pray for those who are ill and attempt to keep their spirits pointed toward GOD. One of our Church members has terminal cancer and she is one of the greatest encouragers of all time. I try my best to visit and see her whenever I am able to do so. It is great to schedule time with friends to just send out a few cards every week to those who are not able to get out during the winter months. This does more to help them than you would ever believe. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

Why is god against sickess and death of the body? I don't think he's for or against it. It just is. Like the wind and the rain. They just are.

Look at it as if it is natural.

I find humor in the "god is obviously against these things" yet "just accept them as his will" sort of wishy-washiness. Warm milk for you.

This world is not God's Kingdom. Sickness and death are just part of this world.

In the pre-Jesus-coming-back time sickness and death are to be expected. We can pray for God to heal people and sometimes he will, but until Jesus comes back ultimately everyone will die.
