I know neither believe in God, but can you elaborate on what the difference is and why you chose to be one over the other. A detailed easy to understand answer gets 10 points.

an atheist is someone who does not believe in God and has no need for gods or the supernatural.
an agnostic is someone who doesn't believe in ANYTHING. as MOST atheists believe in evolution, agnostics don't really care and really don't believe in anything. agnostics question religion.
ATHEISTS- evolution. NO God.
AGNOSTICS-NO evolution. NO God. don't know anything.

An Atheist doesn't believe in God. There is no argument or proof that will ever convince an atheist that a Deity and an afterlife of any sort exists.
An Agnostic questions the existence of God. If there is concrete proof of the existence of a divine spirit, then the agnostic will become a believer.
I'm agnostic, I'm not sure there is a god but I'd like to believe that there is more to us than merely our physical reality.

My Agnostic friend, says it's that he needs proof for there either to be a God or no God. My athiest friend says that to believe that "A God" made all of us and everything is nonsense. I know the truth though, cheers.

Agnostic don't deny the existence or nonexistence of god due to lack of proof. Atheist do not believe in any god.

An atheist is someone that does not believe in God. An agnostic is someone who doesn't believe one way or the other - they're open to the idea but are waiting for proof to help them decide.

Putting it simply, an atheist doesn't believe in God (a-theist, theist meaning God). An agnostic means we can't know about these things (a-gnostic, gnostic meaning knowledge/knowing).
