Hello, Christianity is partially divided on this once saved always saved and has been since the Reformation. Some as you surmise say you are saved no matter what but others say, nonsense because this totally contradicts what Jesus taught regarding following the commandments, especially forgiving your brother, sister and even enemies as well as helping your fellow man by feeding him while hungry, clothing him while naked etc. The RC church has mellowed somewhat on suicide as more education and scientific information has come to light over the years. It used to be they would not give you even a funeral mass for that reason but now they realize there are biochemical problems, bad medications thought to be good in treating other ailments that bring this on etc. If the suicide is other than those reasons, some churches and theologians say that this is the sin of unbelief against the Holy Spirit and a slap in the face to God saying screw you Lord, I have no belief and hope in you anymore so I'm out of here. Other than that Shinto religion, most other religions of the world also say it is a big no no and in reincarnation you do not rise to the next level of spiritual enlightenment but must live a similar depressed life again. In short I will not judge someone else who commits sucide but I would not try this route myself. The hardest thing I find about this is that I have known some people to cap themselves over loss of a wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, job and social status, failure to get into medical school or achieve a particular goal, serious financial problems yet I have met others who saw families arrested and killed, put in concentration camps, beaten worked close to death and reduced to 100lb skeletons yet survived, came out of those horrors and eventually became great business people and pillars of the community and many other situations where people sank to the lowest but eventually rose up and came out smelling like roses. As a few posters mentioned it really must be a mental imbalance as survival is such a basic insatinct in all creatures on earth. Regards, Michael Kelly

John 10:1, Jesus speaking, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. You cannot fool God, humans you may fool, but not our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You talk about knowledge, have you ever read this verse, Romans 1:22, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 1 Corinthians 3:19, For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. So it is easy to see that by Gods word what you want to do will not work and the Bible condemns it. Jesus said in John 3:3 that you must be born again, We have a natural body and a Spiritual body, in order to go to Heaven you must have a rebirth. You must be Spiritually reborn. Being wise in this world doesn't make you wise in the Spiritual world. Thats one of satans little lies, He tells you that just so you will spend an eternity with him, don't fall for that trick, this earth just didn't poof like magic and we all appeared. God spoke it into existance, think about it, Why is Israel the center of the world, a little country the size of Rhode Island? Why is the Bible the best selling book of all time? Forget about your knowledge in this world, the Bible says in Proverbs 1:7, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The everlasting knowledge comes from God, the only kind that counts anyway, and you must be born again to get it. To really understand the Bible you have to be Saved or Born Again, Thats why it has baffled so many for years, everybody wants everything there way, but really you have to do things Gods way. I encourage you this Christmas season to get out your Bible and read the Gospel of Matthew, it speaks of the birth of Jesus, the real reason for Christmas time and our celebration. May God Bless You and Merry Christmas!!

Maybe the basic problem is that Jesus was just a man, and his actual teachings are not very acurately reflected by christian dogma.
Religion seems to be the big problem. You can prove a lot of it to be very inacurate but you can`t prove one way or the other on God.
My conclution was to throw out all religion but keep the possability that there might be a God, until proven different.
So by the old testament the ones that will not be in heavan are the christians, as they have put Jesus before God..!!

According to the Bible, the Lord looks on the heart, so I suspect that faking it isn't enough....
At the same time, I firmly believe in God's mercy and love, so you may still have a chance as long as you're the best person you know how to be.

If you dont believe in God, then who made u? did you just pop out of the sky one day? who made science who made cells, who made the galaxy, God is the only answer. You should try researching similiar religions such as Islam, or even Judaism, because sometimes one religion doesnt make sense but another one does.

Jesus was a real person, and if you did enough research on creation and evolution i really believe you would change your mind. it has happened to many a people, including me.

I would think he would let an honest person into heaven before he let a dishonest person in, so don't pretend to believe in him if you don't really believe..

Yes it does. Christ knows the heart and mind of the believer and the un believer. There is no faking it and making it in. Christ says I know my sheep.

God knows all, he knows us better then we know ourselves. So I would suggest that you repent and read the Bible. God is Love and a Just God. He loves all mankind. So please repent and get saved. The only way is through Jesus. God Bless!!!!!!!!
