I just want to know-Why do we as Black people always fight eachother?
We have enough problems as a people but then we try to make eachother feel bad.
Why can't we learn to just stick together and help eachother out? We can help eachother to succeed but some people like to tear others down.
It is strange how other culture are towards eachother and we arent that way. Like for instance, some cultures will live in the same house and they will all work and contribute to the success of one another. I am not saying this is always true but I have seen this more than once.
And I grew up in a household that was so negative and destructive. And when I ask a question on here it seems like the same people with so much anger and negativity.
Please dont blast me with racism accusations because I am asking a valid question.

No we dont have to like eachother just because we're Black but as Black people we should try to aid in the success of others. We spend too much time hating eachothers guts and belittling eachother. We need eachother for support.

You ask a very difficult question, my friend.
Of course there will be many people who come saying "Well other races do it too! It's not just us!" But little do they know, they're only adding to the problem. So what if other races tear each other down as well? Why avoid the question? The longer we avoid the question the longer the issue shall persist.
I, for one, will attempt to answer your question, as I find myself feeling the same way sometimes.
I grew up in an environment where if you didn't listen to rap music, if you didn't know how to do the tootsie roll, and if you didn't make bad grades and speak in Ebonics, by gosh you weren't "black enough." I was always singled out and bullied and made fun of just because I had different interests than most of my classmates. I found it very odd that these people, these black people, were treating me this way when black leaders before our time spent their sweat, blood, and tears just trying to make it so that we COULD get an education. Now that we have that opportunity, some of us don't want to take it. WHY????
As far as the "n" word goes, I don't find it to be a "term of endearment." I find it to be no different than the awful term used by the racist slave owners of the past and the neo-racist bastards of the present. It's just an affirmation of the black self-hatred.
Why is black-on-black crime so high? Why are black people killing each other? Why do black people hate each other so much?
Dark skin, light skin, why do black people make this such a huge issue? Why do black people think they're ugly if they have dark skin? Why do black people spend hundreds of dollars on weaves and wigs in order to mask their true nappy hair from the world? Why do black people hate THEMSELVES so much?
I find that black people (not all) are some of the most confused people that I've ever known. They say "kill whitey" but then they kill their neighbor who happens to be black. They say the white man is to blame for them not having jobs but they shun their black neighbor who has a PhD for "not being black enough." They say they want to be "cop killas" and that the world is out to get us when they are doing all of the things that they accuse "whitey" and the "world" of doing to us in the first place.
I know I'm gonna get all kinds of thumbs down for this HONEST answer, but who really cares? It's how I truly feel and I'm very glad that you asked this question.
Summary: Black people fight each other because they're afraid. Too afraid to face their own problems so they tear each other down. It's the only way that they can feel any sense of superiority. That's what I believe it's all about.

Well,if you look at this particular section alone in microcosm, you will find the typical gimme mentality and hate whites mentality. So,that position spills over to one's own group.Hatred and a persecution complex is like a bad virus.Communist philosophy has flooded our minds for 40 years. And the schools preach it ceaselessly. That's why any opposing viewpoint is met with childish rants of being a sell-out or traitor or self-hater.Never facts.Never address the real issues.Just keep casting aspersions on Whites.Bless you for speaking up!

I agree with the lady above me.It is Marxist communism that invaded our culture in the 1960's.Schools teach hatred to our youth. So,that's why the analogy of this section is good.I'm afraid to voice my opinion here most of the time because alll Whites are branded as racists. And I see bickering among Blacks over skin tone. It's insane.please see links on the origins of this mess.Thank you for hearing an older gal's opinion.

Black people in general will never get along its possible to get on with eve one,... to be honest there is no respect in our ethnic group, for example in music you have black celebrities saying "Niger" which is an insulting term used against black people ,and by celebs using the term means its allowing other ethnic group to use the term against us. kind of like a repetition of history it self. There is so much negativity and destruction in our race because of all the grief our ancestors went through and when growing up in a black family there is all ways a kind of tension between the black and white race . your parents would have a negative view on things that the white race would think is right.

its true for anyone my dear....look at thsoe shows on MTV, they are all white ppl and look at how they try hurt each other and generally arent supportive of each other....
you are assuming that black ppl should stick together for the simple fact that they are black...thats ridiculous...just b/c you have the same skin color doesnt mean you have to likethem or not like them...yea
but ppl in general need to "stick together" and helpeach other out...what ever happed to man helping there fellow man??

edit: yeaif that ur real pic then u r gorgeous....btw
edit...see i just dont think you should help someone based on the fact that they are black...i mean we get mad if white ppl do it...why should we help each other succeed as black for the simple fact that we are black...i mean if you are going to help someone...then help them, dont let the fact that they are black white or asain be the reason you help them....see wat im saying...
