Not the Bible. I mean history books or records of some kind. I'm just curious. Thanks.

TC: The Trinity consists of three parallel lines, which touch each other.
LDS: If they touch each other, they're not parallel.
TC: Nevertheless, they are parallel, and they touch. They touch at every point.
LDS: If they touch at every point, they're the same line. Not three.
TC: They touch at every point, yet there are three.
LDS: That doesn't make any sense. Lines can't be different yet the same, parallel yet intersecting. The words stop having any meaning when you say such things.
TC: That's because you have a finite, mortal mind, which cannot comprehend the nature of geometry.
LDS: To me, that's just crazy. The Trinity is three lines, completely distinct, perfectly parallel, so they go infinitely in the same direction. That's simple, it's clear, and it's true. In fact, we've seen the lines.
TC: That's blasphemy! You can never see the lines! They're only imaginary!
LDS: Your lines are imaginary. The lines we've seen are real.
TC: Then you are not a Geometrist!

If Gandhi had been born before modern media, would people have considered him a prophet and started a religion based on his teachings?

people assume that I believe the statement? Sometimes I ask things that others put as an answer to a question. Like the Catholic whore thing. I am asking for input on that statement, not saying I agree or believe it. just thought that people would answer the question, not bash me and say I'm horrible! I guess I need to sneek into my question are that I don't necessarily believe this, but heard it elsewhere and am looking for input?

Question-since when has asking questions and trying to get people to learn things for themselves been considered pushing your beliefs down someone's throat. Is it wrong to try to get people to think and research things instead of following blindly. The atheist that i know and many of them on this site are not pushing their views on anyone. They seem to ask questions or they just give their views on religion.I haven't seen many questions or answers on here where there is an atheist telling you not to believe in god,or to abandon your faith,or give up on your god. What i have seen is they ask questions about things that don't make sense and try to get you to think about them logically. On the other side,i've seen many religious people saying things like those who dont believe are fools and will burn,or you are blind and need god to open your eyes,or passages from a book saying that we are doomed and they are heaven bound. So who is really being the hypocrite and trying to force beliefs.

Why do Christians always attempt to deconstruct this particular theory, when there's others that equally cast doubt on a literal bible? Other than the occasional dig at the Big Bang, of course. Why do we never see anything on geology and rock strata? Nothing on heavier elements being formed in supernovae? Quantum indeterminancy?

Is it just a nagging unease about possibly being distantly related to primates, or something else?

Please read fully before you reply.
At least five former presidents of the United States had Black people among their ancestors. If one considers the fact that European men far outnumbered European women during the founding of this country, and that the rape and impregnation of an African female slave was not considered a crime, it is even more surprising that more former presidents could not be documented with having Black ancestors. The president’s names include Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding, and Calvin Coolidge.
The best case for Black ancestry is against Warren G. Harding, our 29th president from 1921 until 1923. Harding himself never denied his ancestry. Black ancestors were identified among both parents of President Harding. Harding's only academic credentials included education at Iberia College, which was founded in order to educate fugitive slaves.
More to come. I just think that it should be recognised in our childrens history books

Explain that double standard to me oh wise vegetarians...................... Death is clearly a part of life; there is no lifeform on earth that does not benefit off of the process of death. Many fungi live off of the flesh off dead carcasses. Animals kill their prey in the wild to survive; do you suggest they go on vegetarian diets? We, as humans, are doing what comes naturally to us.
Also, eating meat greatly expanded the brain size of homosapiens; the added protein gave us extra strength and intelligence. If you look at our teeth, they are clearly omnivorous. Noticed how sharp our back fangs are? Is it not that way for a reason?

You guys aren't even a real religion so why do you flock to a site that is plainly about Religion and Spirituality alone? If it was all about racking up points, wouldn't you just go to some other site? Infact, please go to another site. You guys don't believe in anything even related to religion or spirituality.

We give out awards, after each quarter to the student with the most points.

You get points for attendance, and for bringing your Bible, and for remembering the memory verse we worked on last week. I was given stickers for the students to record their points, and a page for the stickers to be afixed to.

Since I am still quite new at having my own class, this is the first quarter I'll be giving an award for. So I asked this other teacher if the church will give me a prize to award or do I need to buy something.

This other teacher said she does not give the award. Does not believe in rewarding a kid for doing what they're supposed to. She said this in a nasty, no nonsense way, which seemed to me to sound like "Why are you this stupid?"

This is the same teacher who doesn't bother to show up half the time, never calls in. We have to watch her class, take her kids in our class if she doesnt show. Sometimes she comes late, is angry if her kids are in my class. MY fault!

Many people say that they've read the Bible, and it's just a bunch of interesting (or maybe boring) stories.

So, if you've read the Bible like you say you have, then what's the common theme that runs all throughout the Bible, from beginning to end?

I'll edit my question with the answer later, so check back.
