TC: The Trinity consists of three parallel lines, which touch each other.
LDS: If they touch each other, they're not parallel.
TC: Nevertheless, they are parallel, and they touch. They touch at every point.
LDS: If they touch at every point, they're the same line. Not three.
TC: They touch at every point, yet there are three.
LDS: That doesn't make any sense. Lines can't be different yet the same, parallel yet intersecting. The words stop having any meaning when you say such things.
TC: That's because you have a finite, mortal mind, which cannot comprehend the nature of geometry.
LDS: To me, that's just crazy. The Trinity is three lines, completely distinct, perfectly parallel, so they go infinitely in the same direction. That's simple, it's clear, and it's true. In fact, we've seen the lines.
TC: That's blasphemy! You can never see the lines! They're only imaginary!
LDS: Your lines are imaginary. The lines we've seen are real.
TC: Then you are not a Geometrist!

I am LDS and see things from that perspective.....

I believe that God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three distinct personages.

I guess if you believe in a god like creature (like all the main religions) then you believe that the god made all things and you should obey the god's commands and rules. For me, that's pure twaddle, but I mean no offense to anyone, because everyone has the right to their own beliefs. I class myself as an atheist, because I do not believe in any god. However, I do believe, very strongly, that our spirit lives on after we die and that there is more to 'life' than just our life on earth. It's just that even though I was brought up in a religious family, went to sunday school, got confirmed etc. I was never convinced about the god/jesus thing. My lack of belief is enforced by the narrow minded and hateful views of religion and some believers in today's society. As for a life force. If you mean some other kind of creator besides a god, then that's entirely feasible, or at least as much as god is, or isn't, depending on your choosing. Hey ho, we'll all find out when we kick the bucket. Stay safe.

Ha-ha that's funny. Although I have to say I have alot of non-LDS friends who also believe that the trinity is 3 seperate beings. I think Christians are pretty much spilt down the middle about this. My cathoilc friends are really the friends I have who believe that all 3 are 1 person. I dont think it matters either way, I doubt God is going to be upset at whoever has it wron. What's important is that we believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that we try and follow his teachings.

It might help if you to look at the Godhead from the creation perspective... not three, not one, but three of one.
