hey, guys! Catholics only for now, please.
Easy question for you.
You desire salvation (as do I). How do you achieve it, or how did you achieve it?
What action or belief will result or has resulted in your salvation?

If you want to email me, please go right ahead (I prefer it). My email is slinkywizzard@yahoo.com

Before I ask this question I have to assert that I am not homophobic, just curious about this particular aspect of the homosexual lifestyle.

Why do homosexual people find it necessary to announce their sexuality?

For example, I do not find the need to announce to the world I am hetrosexual or that a pub I go to is a hetrosexual pub (simple example, but I hope you get the idea).

Why does it seem, to me, that homosexuals feel the need to announce this.

Personally I do not care about someones orientation, just live your lives.

This guy that lives around the block from me killed his 16 year old daughter for refusing to wear a hijab. Not only that, there were 7 other adults in the house while he was beating her to death. Why is this "religion" (and i use that term loosely) still allowed to be practised here??? Muslims... how do you justify this one?? whats wrong with you people??

I understand the logic behind a muslim woman wanting to wear a scarf & wear long modest clothes....however I see lots of pre-pubesant girls dressed this way...I think that is cruel & silly, I dont understand why her parents would do that or even try to impose their religion on her before she can even think properly about life (this goes for other faith's aswell), I mean of course they can raise her with the islamic lifestyle. It should be her own choice when she gets to around 11 years old to what she wants to wear or what she believes..dont you agree ? if not why?

Thanks for your opinions on this :]

I need to see what all I got under the tree, so I can go buy the rest of the stuff I wanted for Christmas. I recently got my Christmas bonus and I'm worried I'll blow it. What's the best way to peek into presents without it showing?

Explain that double standard to me oh wise vegetarians...................... Death is clearly a part of life; there is no lifeform on earth that does not benefit off of the process of death. Many fungi live off of the flesh off dead carcasses. Animals kill their prey in the wild to survive; do you suggest they go on vegetarian diets? We, as humans, are doing what comes naturally to us.
Also, eating meat greatly expanded the brain size of homosapiens; the added protein gave us extra strength and intelligence. If you look at our teeth, they are clearly omnivorous. Noticed how sharp our back fangs are? Is it not that way for a reason?

Say what? Who actually believes this lie? I read this comment in the weddings section and had to blink when I saw it. I'm not Catholic and I'm not offended by them. I know many non-Catholics who have them in their homes. Does anyone else find this to be a strange stereotype?

The genealogies of Jesus are different in Matthew (Chapter 1) and Luke (Chapter 3). In Matthew, Joseph is a direct descendant (from father to son) of David's son Solomon; in Luke he is descended through a different line, from David;s other son Nathan. The discrepancy can best be seen by moving backward through the genealogy, beginning from Joseph. Who was Joseph's father? Was it Jacob (as in Matthew) or Heli (as in Luke)? It goes on.

I found this article from Live Science, and a group of historians examined the roots of fundementalism. I especially like this quote: "Scholarly consensus over the last decade or so is that most people did not convert to [Protestantism]. They had it forced upon them," Simpson told LiveScience."

Please read it and tell me what you think.

I am just kind of curious. I hear Catholics all the time say theres is the original church and teaches only apostolic teaches. My question is this. Do you truly believe if an apostle came forward in time and saw the RCC he would say this is the church of the first century. Everything you teach is what we taught? Would he recognize the elaborate ceremonies? Would he be able to sit in the church and easily understand exactly what was going on and what was being taught?

So yeah, like I said, I am an atheist and I am currently writing a novel. It has no religious themes at all whatsoever in any direction, and there's even a scene where some of the characters are sitting in church singing hymns (cause that's what people did in 1861).

Anyway, if my novel is published someday (Did I mention that it's geared toward teenagers?) and it comes out that I'm a total atheist do you think it would get banned or there would be the outcry that has happened over things like The Golden Compass?
