Mental illness may be a cause too

I do believe in it, but I think it is more an issue of mental problems.

I had a friend who was schizophrenic, and he actually thought he was Christ. He beat up a cop because he wouldn't call him Christ. He was in and out of mental institutions for years on end. When he took his medication, he was fine. When he didn't, he would do a lot of the same stuff that you mention here. I found out a few months ago that he killed himself. I was sad that he had done that, but at the same time, at least now he doesn't have to suffer with this horrible illness anymore.

I think possession a lot of times is more of this kind of thing, but people think it's possession. I do believe that there have been actual cases of possession, but for that to occur, you have to allow that to happen. If your spirit and psyche are strong, they have no hold on you.

Yes it does happen, but it can be confused as mental illness or vise verse. What you need to do is check into their background if you can and see from when the trouble was initiated. Chances are that if it IS demonic possession then that person first had contact with Satanic tools such as Oiji boards or taro cards.

unless you can prove the language thing (meaning they never had any access to training in this language and it must be a real language) there is nothing here that couldnt be a psychotic break. consult a doctor. exhaust all options before you turn to the supernatural.

i do believe such things happen. but i think we blame demons for things too often.

I do believe in demonic possessions, however, I believe they are more rare than common. The RC Church usually asks secular scientist's & religious schalars to weigh in if there is mental conditions that create these. I believe it takes alot of due dilligence to start a RC Exercist.

No. The people who are afraid of crosses, who abuse themselves and act all crazy are one of two things - A. Crazy, or B. Attention seekers.

Most "documented" demonic possession cases of the middle ages can now be scientifically explained. They can be attributed to epilepsy and mental disorders. I think it's sad that in this day in age, with our scientific knowledge of the human psyche and the body, that we still believe in something as silly as "demonic possession."

Nowadays - the "possessed" are just making it up. Come on, seriously. Prove to me that Demonic possession is real.

Demonic possesion is totally real. Satan or a demon takes over ones body to do evil and to sin. It speaks of possension in the bible when Jesus casts out a demon from a man and sends it to a hog who runs into a river and kills its self. TOTALLY REAL!

There are couple audio clips I can share that are almost terrifying. They are of a German girl, around mid century, being exercised by a priest. I don't want to post them here because they are truly disturbing. Just send me a note.

[edit] I agree with Pangel (as ususual) but in this case it is difficult for me to attribute to psychotic episodes or epileptic fits.

No. People don't speak in languages they never did. People are scared of worms, no reason why they shouldn't be scared of crosses. Mental illness causes people to harm themselves. There are many well-documented illnesses which cause this.
