This guy that lives around the block from me killed his 16 year old daughter for refusing to wear a hijab. Not only that, there were 7 other adults in the house while he was beating her to death. Why is this "religion" (and i use that term loosely) still allowed to be practised here??? Muslims... how do you justify this one?? whats wrong with you people??

i believe in god, just not one that would tell me to kill my chiled for not covering her hair. If you like your extreme non-sensical "religion" fine- but stop killing innocent people!!

"Really? Where is your link? I'm sure it would have at least made local news, no?"
There are about 4 different threads on Answers alone you horses as*, why dont you open your eyes.
"That is not part of Islam you idiot."
So then why did he do it? On a whim? was he bored?
"Why are people with zero knowledge and education still allowed to comment on things they know NOTHING about."
said the ignorant uneducated poster.......................
" I would assume the religion didn't tell the father to kill his daughter."
Again, then WHY??
"You know, I am not Muslim, but your ignorance and crudeness towards others is appalling"
And your lack of knowledge on the subject shows yours.
"I looked this up; it happened in Canada, the girl is in critical condition but not dead, and the father has been arrested."
not dead?
"Aqsa Parvez, 16, was found without a pulse in her home in Mississauga earlier on Monday. She was resuscitated by paramedics, treated at two hospitals, and later succumbed to her injuries, police said on Tuesday."
EDIT:"Your an idiot because you are blaming Islam and not the man and the others responsible. Idiot!"
And it is being carried out in the name of....wait for it...waaait for it........ISLAM you fool.
EDIT2:"Are you serious? You blame Islam for what some nutjob control freak did? Please tell me you're smarter than that..."
Do you REALLY want to start slinging statistics around as far as "what group killed who?"
EDIT3:"She loved clothes," another of her friends, Dominiquia Holmes-Thompson, told the daily Toronto Star. "She just wanted to show her beauty ... She just wanted to dress like us, just like a normal person."
look at the arrogance of her friends. They though she wasnt normal when she wore the hijab!. Peer pressure caused her to revolt agaisnt her family which caused her sick dad to beat her up.
There r 2 sides to this story.
can i say her Christian friend is a bigot?"
ONLY if I can say I wish her father was your's instead..........................

From Wikipedia:
Many Muslims believe hijab covering for women should be compulsory as part of Sharia law. Wearing of the hijab was enforced by the Taliban regime, and is enforced in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Prosecutor-General, Abolfazl Musavi-Tabrizi has been quoted as saying: "Any one who rejects the principle of hijab in Iran is an apostate and the punishment for an apostate under Islamic law is death" The Taliban's Islamic Emirate required women to cover not only their head but their face as well, because "the face of a woman is a source of corruption" for men not related to them.
Islam is a works-based religion, very legalistic. In his religion, that man was perfectly justified in what he did. I think it is contemptable, but I'm a Christian, also deserving of death in their eyes.

Do not ask all Muslims this question. Im not justifying this even though im Muslim. This is NOT Islam, this is just an insane household of people who happen to be Muslim. Islam is perfect but humans are not.

do u know how big of a sin it is for Muslim women to show off their body?? do u know how bad it is conssidered?? do u know the consequencies?? well ofcourse a non-religious hog like u would take things the other way around and take out a totally different meaning. hijab is a really important part of covering a woman. "the religion" has a meaning to it which makes it to be practiced not only here but all around the world.on the other hand i so dont think that the guy who did this so mercilessly is right. in fact its totally his fault. if he and the "7 adults" would have taught it all to her when she was younger, they wouldnt have seen this day. i think they should be punished.
and please without much knowledge of a particular religion, i request u to not make matters like this, u dont know anything about it!!! NOTHING!!! if showing skin like u dont have any shame in u is what u think is right, be my guest!! ill see u on the day of judgement!

I think he got arrested. So his practice of Islam is not allowed. Other however, do practice Islam in a way that conforms to our laws. I think the speaks as to the person he was, not the religion he practiced. There are millions of Muslims in Canada who don't kill people.

I looked this up; it happened in Canada, the girl is in critical condition but not dead, and the father has been arrested.

She did die this morning, sorry.

Still, one cannot judge an entire belief system by the actions of its lunatic fringe. Otherwise, all religions would be illegal worldwide.

It's horrific.
Extreme religious views often lead to tyranny against women, free thinking, other points of view, science, not to mention violence.
I feel horrible for that girl. Radical Islam needs to be controlled when it threatens other people.

extremism is not allowed in Islam. i being a muslim dont find it normal. havnt seen such things happened in my family, relatives, friends and alot other muslim families.
most of the times things are strickly related to cultures rather then religion.
islam is not to be blamed. there is no such thing in islam that man should beat her daughter or wife unless they wear hijab. why you are blaming Islam ?
have you heard about a women killed her 5 children in Germany ?

I, too, would be very interested in a news link. (Some people come on here and make-up awful stories, so it's always a good idea to post a link).
I found (I think) the link you are speaking of... it's pretty sick stuff.

Don't get mad at this, be angry that Christians are being beheaded and tortured daily ( and increasingly so ) for not bowing down to Islam and renouncing their faith in God. Scripture is perfectly clear about when the Antichrist appears He will hunt down and kill Christians for not serving him. The Antichrist is not here yet, but the spirit of the Antichrist is among us today in this false religion. The sad thing is that only a few of us Christians hear and see what the Lord is saying in His Word, even though it is happening right before our very eyes.
