I'm not trying to get into anyone personal religious beliefs....I simply want to know how many of you still say "Merry Christmas"...

I mean, that’s why you keep coming back, isn’t it? You are all well aware that the religion section is the domain of atheists, surely the reason you tentatively register your presence here is so you can learn something, right? And that’s why you guys keep asking about evolution here instead of in the science section…

The show I am looking for aired in 1980 or 1981. My girls loved it -- I don't remember the band. Just that Christmas branch. I was sick and my girls got us a Christmas branch and decorated it themselves. I'd like to get it for their children. Thanks

As an atheist, mine is:

"Freedom of religion includes freedom from religion"

This is a friendly question. I'm looking for answers from all in a non-judgemental way.

This room is my favorite because below my window (bedroom is on second floor) is a running creek that is home to tens of ducks.

Do we have to keep on waiting? Can I walk outside to Him. Or do I have to wait for Him to come get me?

"In October 1998, McAreavy was able to obtain copies of LDS temple ordinance records for Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun from Philip Roberts of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. These IGI (International Genealogical Index) copies reveal that Adolf Hitler was "baptized" and "endowed" on December 10, 1993, and "sealed" to his parents on March 12, 1994. These events took place in the London Temple, England. Robert's copies also show that Hitler was "sealed" to Braun on September 28, 1993, in the Jordan River Temple, Utah, and on June 14, 1994, in the Los Angeles Temple. Roberts sent copies of these records to Ashton."

I'm just curious how everyone else celebrated the festival of lights this year... Unfortunately I had to work almost every night and could only be with my family the first, second and last night. But I made latkes for everyone on the first night and brought in all of the leftovers to my gentile coworkers...

I love breakfast toast. I have to have speciality bread (usually bought at the day old bread store). My favorite bread for toast is real sourdough or anything with nuts and/or seeds. And it has to have real butter to spread. I eat healthy spread on everything else-but leave my toast alone!

My best friend just found out today that the guy she likes older brother dies today of a drug over dose. She didn't know him that well, but she knows his family pretty well. Will you pray for them especially since it's Christmas time and they will now have one less family member to spend it with. I have never met the guy that died, but I also know his brother and sister and I really feel for them a lot. Another thing, what do you think the chances of them seening him again is? You know, in Heaven. He did die of a drug overdose, but his family is so spiritual. I don't know how he was in his heart, but I'm just wondering what you all think. Also, please no rude comments like 'How do I know you're telling the truth' or 'he deserved to die' this is a very serious topic. The Bible says that where 2 or more are praying, there His Spirit will be. I believe that If we really pray for this family, then hopefully they can get through this without it being quite as hard. Thank you!

-Abseil something (bridge, cliff, high rise flats, anything)
-French kiss someone
-Spend a day at a beauty spa then go for a makeover

By the way, is there such a thing as "definite marriage" in tarot, or "definite" anything?

If someone says "possible marriage" or "possible obtainment" is it a good thing?

I want anyone to give me a lot of info about that. Can meditation become a some kind of transe and fly with your mind where you want? Can meditation make me enabled to levitate? Please do not say it is a myth, because it is not. I know it is not(no comments in here please, ok?). And also, how to meditate? To meditate for achieving self confidence? How to meditate to achieve more like being able to fly with your mind? How do budists do? I am really interested in these things! Thank you all!

I see these movies from the 40's and 50's where a guy who is with the woman he loves feels obligated to relinquish her to a rude or obnoxious man, or just a competitor or someone the woman doesn't like. Why? How did this custom get started? Why is the woman obligated to dance with whoever taps her man on the shoulder? Where is her choice in the matter? I just don't understand the social beliefs that supported this custom. Would someone please explain it to me?

At times i still struggle with my old ways, my old sinful nature. At times when i skip christian meetings due to heavy work i stumble. i feel like a hypocrite.

What do you feel about a person like me who talks about God at some times and then does things that are bad in his eyes.

I am not the the most upstanding Christian and I know that I have many flaws as a believer, but it hurts me to hear other "so called" Christians say: "God was with me" and "God Bless Us" when violence is used against another! Wasn't Jesus the ultimate Pacifist? Did he not say: "turn the other cheek" and "Bless them that persecute you"? I can't understand this perverted concept of Christianity that permits a security guard to carry a firearm inside a place of worship. What is a Church? Is it a War-zone now? I always believed it was a place of refuge. Where is the Sanctuary then? This security guards statement of "I had God" is NO faith or real belief in God's power - her shakiness in the news conference is a testament to that. If you are a true Christian then you have no need to arm yourself and no fear- God ALONE will be your fortress and protector...and if it be His will that your life ends abruptly, your reward will be far greater. Where better to die, than in the House of the Lord.
