Sainthood is more like an honor after death. Enlightenment can be reached during one's life, so can change of heart. There is something like "complete change of heart." The Latin or Greek for this is "metanoia."

I think my son will always remember my shortcuts, I could turn a 20 minute drive into 2 hours because I have no sense of direction and would try to find a quicker way to where we were going. This is of course before mapquest

Everywhere we see richly decorated Christmas trees during the month of december...it would not seem right today if you don't have one at home....but why do we have christmas trees. Christmas celebration is more like Santa Claus, christmas trees, richly decorated houses, gifts, food, family and friends reunion, parties...and more more expenses. What does that got to do with Jesus?

I wouldn't put the word "oriental" in the same par as the "N" word but it actually is a very offensive term. Most Asians that grew up around other Asians know this, maybe in the suburbs it's different. Anyway just like to let people know.

Years ago in a newspaper I followed instructions for wrapping a gift for christmas. They had a few ideas but the one I chose was one that you folded the paper to look like a suit and jacket. Does anyone know of a site or have instructions on how to wrap gifts in unique ways such as this?

I am a member of a Christian homeschool group and have asked for their help in obtaining used items to help this single mother of 6 have a Christmas for her family. I have purchased items and have received quite a few gifts (used) from them and now I feel that I am being scrutinized for helping this family all because I was sent a message from another member in regards to where she could drop items off. I am not asking for others to help in wrapping these gifts or anything. So why is it that I am feeling this way? I am just trying to help this family out and not taking for myself. This family is in legitimate need. So why is it when someone tries to help another individual they are scrutinized for the act of kindness that another wants to do. What would you do in this situation?

I am at a loss as to how to react to this and why I am feeling this way. I don't understand all of this because as a Christian you are a giving soul and should have a heart to want better for others.
