I would NEVER worship the sadistic, immoral, killer God of the Bible. I don't consider drowning, plaguing, and slaughtering millions (more than Hitler), conspiring to have his own kid brutally beaten and killed, and repeatedly commanding his followers to kidnap, rape, torture, and kill people, to be 'love'. Those who do are free to slobber all over him.

A false and leading question.
One could just as easily say that God could prove that he exists to the world (much like a person from China taking a boat to NYC and getting on a soapbox) but does that necessarily mean he's all for free-market capitalism and megachurches?
How do believers know that God does not care which religion, if any, a person belongs to, and simply created religions as easily as he created fruit trees? Does an apple tree have seniority over a pecan tree, or an orange tree? Which tree is 'more' godly than another?
What if God came down to an atheist and said "Good job. Keep up the good work." Just because you think you are in the right doesn't mean that the person you put your 'faith' in is going to do what you think they will. Of course, most believers would have figured that out if they had actually studied the bible, namely the passage about the adulterous woman, but I must admit, understanding metaphors is sooooo hard, especially when you're spending so much of your time condemning others, and asking if they are going to be 'saved' or not.

I live a very good life. So, I would continue living the way I always have.
For the next part... if God's existence were proved, I would then accept that God exists, but I can assure you, if God is anything at all like the God depicted in the Bible, I would not worship him. Further, after what humanity has been through, I do not think I could ever respect him... so... either way... nope... no worship from me.

Which god are you talking about?
The Judeo/Christian/Islamic god, then no definitely not.
One of the 280 million Hindu gods? Nah not them either.
Zeus, Thor, Odin, Ra or any of the other named or unnamed gods not yet mentioned in my response? Not them either.
I haven't needed a god in my life ever why would I worship one just because he/she/it decides to manifest itself some way.
Simply put non-believers believe in one less god then the rest of you, you should ask your self why you don't worship/believe in any of the other gods out there, as the all have the exact same proof of existing and being true. For many of us that proof is nothing.

Which God ? Many Gods don't require worship .
If the Judaic / Christian / Islamic God proved himself , life would become meaningless and pointless.
The God of Jehovah , doesn’t deserve to be worshipped , he is sadistic , malevolent , intolerant , petty , racist , sexist and all together and unpleasant chap .

Worship, no. Acknowledge his existence but continue to ignore him, yes.
And if he demands worship, then God is no different from some cruel leader of the world like in all the sci-fi movies, in which case, I'd join some underground resistance or something. :D

If there was proof then yes I would give that god some kind of consideration. Would I automatically follow whatever teachings that he taught, I don't think so. But I would not be so quick to dismiss it.

Probably not.
I mean, the guy would basically be a celebrity, right? He wouldn't care if anyone is worshiping him. If anything he'll probably wish that people would just leave him alone.

No moral creature would initiate the use of force against another reasoning creature, however comparatively powerless. If this alien being made any attempt to use force, manipulate or threaten I would oppose him unto my likely untimely death at his evil hand.

I would continue to live my life as I live it now, honouring my own gods and my ancestors, not worshipping some insecure and sadistic middle eastern god with no name

Whaddya mean 'still'?
I don't worship it now so how could I STILL worship it.
Such hypotheses are a waste of oxygen.
Major supposition, by the way. Can you arrange it?
Errr ... NO.
Is it ever going to happen?
Ummm ... NO.
