With a nine trillion dollar national debt, I heard one of the presidential candidates say he can balance the budget.

And now you want to make this question revolve around relious beliefs?

Yeah Gem, that reminds me of the words I used in a letter to Pres. Reagan...by the people, for the people, etc. Never did get an answer.

It's time the people have a voice on their destiny.

Instead, big bucks obliterate the landscape.

No use, we're on the same page...I'm preaching to the choir.

The government is by the people, of the people, for the people. Nearly every bill passed by Congress in the past 10 (or 30) years has been for the government OR for big business lobbyist money.

2005 Bankruptcy Reform Act and associated raising of minimums and removal of usury laws - gift to credit/banks

Criminalizing online gambling - gift to state lotteries and American casinos

Medicaid (medicare? can't freakin remember which one) Seniors prescription plan - gift to the insurers and pharmaceutical companies

Upping cap on H1-B visas - gift to Microsoft, Apple, Dell, HP - good Americans can't get jobs there, but Indians & Chinese can waltz in.

I could go on, but those are the first 3 that pop into my head.

it could be about religion and faithful followers in denial- like Islam doesnt oppress women- yeah, maybe not all, but there is a good majority out there that suffers because muslim men interpret the koran to satisfy their desires or whatever

or about the one where god has sent ppl to save mankind- seriosuly?

or i luv u from like every other person because its a fad to say that- i mean why dont save meaningful words for meaningful moments?

i realize im sounding a bit cynnical but the truth is that very few people will actually be honest and upfront all the time with almost everyone- that or its just my misfortune to be around such a group.... idk....

one of the biggest truths however is that life is unfair!

I have two, currently...more to come, I'm sure.

1. Saddam Hussein has WMD's and we are going to war to change his regime. After all, if we don't "fight 'em over there, we'll have to fight 'em over here". As if oil wasn't the main reason; as if Bush and Co hadn't planned invasion long before 9/11.

2. Iran is developing nuclear weapons so we must think about invading them, too. As if 16 U.S. Intelligence agency didn't report in 2003 that Iran had halted it's weapons program.

Of course, this all leads to the 9 bazillion dollar debt.

Sorry, I have to add a third:

3. "Mission Accomplished"
