with luck and money?

By the way, is there such a thing as "definite marriage" in tarot, or "definite" anything?

If someone says "possible marriage" or "possible obtainment" is it a good thing?

If one of my clients asked the question:
Should I get married to X within 1 year?

And I used a 5-card Yes/No spread and got
ACups 2Ccups, 4Wands, Lovers, Wheel of Fortune

all forward, I would say - "definitely."

===========
All answers by any "divination" technique are probabistic. In the above spread, I have my students count the number of foward and reversed cards. In this case, the answer is 6 to zero. Count the center card as worth 2 points.

If you have recently had a reading and someone used the words - "possible marriage" - then that is ALL it means. A lot depends upon the original subject or question. Notice the specificity of the question above.

Just throwing cards out without a focus gets you "possible anything" at times.

There are definite things all around us, but just because something is definite for one person (living in Oregon) doesn't make it definite for another (living in Tahiti.)

In essence, every card could represent just about any situation that arises. The 10 of spades/swords, for example, is a pretty unhappy card traditionally read, but their placement in a reading could signify a delirious (but short) marriage. The sorrow indicated by its upright placement would, therefore, represent the eventual outcome of the marriage (deep and abiding sorrow because of the short duration, maybe due to accident or violence, most likely violence) but it would take an experienced and dedicated reader to pick out that nuance, since most others would automatically go with getting married would be a 'bad' decision, leading only to pain and suffering (completely ignoring the happiness that preceeded it.)

Even the major arcana only suggest forces, and there is as much strife contained within the Lover's card as the 10 of swords. A good reading is always in the details, and sometimes those details are not always as obvious as they may appear.

Several cards have to do with love or material wealth or "chance". But NOTHING is written in stone. The cards show you scenarios that CAN exist, but simply because you know of them, you will influence how they may play out. Or not. Never take a reading for an absolute, it shows you the influences around you. "Possible" means just that......possible.
