Do we have to keep on waiting? Can I walk outside to Him. Or do I have to wait for Him to come get me?

The Son of God came to this Earth to save us. Before Jesus ascended to heaven he foretold of His second coming. However, we do not have to wait until then to be with Him. Repenting to God and having faith in the Lord Jesus Crhist allows us to be with Him. The Holy Spirit is with us; . God is with us on the earth. As long as we have faith we can be with Him on this earth. Jesus can appear but it's not our choice if he appears to us. As long as we have faith, we can truly be with Him, see Him when it has been all said and done. We don't know the hour as only the Father in Heaven does. Until that day have faith and He will be with you. He didn't leave us alone when He ascended, the Holy Spirit was given to us.

What are you waiting FOR, exactly? God has done all He is going to do to reconcile you to Himself. It is up to you to take Him at His Word with regard to what Christ did on that Cross for YOU! He will take up residence in YOUR life when and if you BELIEVE that His death, burial and resurrection is what secured your place in heaven, and paid for YOUR sins.
