My best friend just found out today that the guy she likes older brother dies today of a drug over dose. She didn't know him that well, but she knows his family pretty well. Will you pray for them especially since it's Christmas time and they will now have one less family member to spend it with. I have never met the guy that died, but I also know his brother and sister and I really feel for them a lot. Another thing, what do you think the chances of them seening him again is? You know, in Heaven. He did die of a drug overdose, but his family is so spiritual. I don't know how he was in his heart, but I'm just wondering what you all think. Also, please no rude comments like 'How do I know you're telling the truth' or 'he deserved to die' this is a very serious topic. The Bible says that where 2 or more are praying, there His Spirit will be. I believe that If we really pray for this family, then hopefully they can get through this without it being quite as hard. Thank you!

Passionate Believer of Jesus that was hard, but true, thanks. 5th Watcher i don't know why why you got 5 thumbs down, I would have given you 5 thumbs up. as for londonpe...Prayer is REAL and I know it can help no matter what. That's why I'm asking for prayers. And ddcass, he probably didn't pray for you, but I can assure you that if his family knew you needed prayer, they would be praying right now. As for the rest of you, thank you so much for your prayers though this hard time. I know that the family appresiates it too. Thanks!

How wonderful of you to request prayer for this precious family! Of course, I would be happy to pray for them!

Father, we lift up this dear family who is grieving. We ask that You send the Holy Spirit to comfort them and ease their pain. Father, we thank You that You will wrap them in Your love and will get them through this awful time. Please bring them all closer to You! We thank You that in Your Word it says that You will wipe every tear from our eyes, one day! We thank You that death will be no more! We thank You that suffering and pain will be no more! We take comfort in and look forward to the fulfillment of this promise! Father, bless this dear family walk with them. We thank You and give You praise! In Jesus' name..........amen!

As far as anyone predicting whether or not this family will see him again, no one can. No one but God. God is the only One who sees our hearts and He knows what is in our hearts. Since no person can ever read a heart , none of us is qualified to speak for God and make judgments in individual cases. This is God's job only! However, it is our job to pray for this dear family who is hurting right now.

God bless you for bringing this to our attention!

Well you can never ever say that someone in there last seconds of life didn't except Jesus as there savior.
So even though he was mentally unbalanced at the time due to drugs doesn't mean he wasn't saved.
Its like a christian getting drunk and having an accident it doesn't take your salvation away.
I will join with you and all other Christians who are standing in agreement that this family will receive the mercy of the Lord to endure this loss. Jesus will hear our prayers, as you stand in the gap for the family, many blessings to you and your friends.

thats some hard news....but can you find peace in your heart at you wonder if he is in hell or heaven right now by understanding this? are you sitting down you should.....

God is Just!! knowing that, I can say without question, that if the man didnt receive Jesus Christ that hell is where he justly deserves to be. God pricks the heart of the lost, they may harden their hearts and reject him, or they may surrender to him....but either way God kept calling to him, over and over, "He is not willing that any should perish" knowing that....dont you believe that God was tugging at his heart to the point that God knew he had made his decision?

okay....that softens the worst end of the tragedy....but what if he had come to be in right standing with God, would it still be possible for him to slip up and OD being a new christian? ABSOLUTELY...drugs are how much worse than lying a lying tounge to God? ummm....equivalet, maybe..because sin is sin......

so dont get bitter....know that God is just and come close to the heart of God through tragedy and things that we wonder about Gods character and justice.

be blessed.
what a good friend you are for caring and posting this!

I will definately offer you my condolences, and pray for the family that has unfortunately lost a loved one (regardless of how he died, the family deserves this). I am somewhat weary about praying for the deceased person, as I do not think that my prayers will change his fate. However, I will add that GOD will judge his soul fairly and will grant him passage to where he belongs (heaven, hell, purgatory, etc.), and despite what anyone says none of us can decide his fate but GOD who knows all.

I would be honored to answer your request.

Father, Hear me now. I thank you for hearing us. Lord, I lift this whole situation up to you. Father please cover these folks in your blanket of love, Comfort them, like only YOU can. Strengthen them, Lord. Oh God lighten the load and give them the blessings that they need to get thru this time. Father don`t hold this against the child. You know he had more then he could bear. Lord take hold of them and never let go.. We bring this to you in your beloved Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus said that 'all will be tested with fire for none are worthy of God'.

I take this to mean that when we die our sins are stripped away until only purity is left, and then we are ready for heaven, since, as Jesus said, god is loving and forgiving. So no matter what someone has done, they'll get to heaven eventually.

A drug overdoes is only self abuse, and since he was probably going through troubled times, I am sure God would be very understanding about all that.

I am seriously curious as to what is so wrong about this comment that it is getting 5 thumbs down.
