The problem is that the gathering of the believers will take place on the last day, the same day as the judgment of this world takes place, so there is no wondering about why all of the believers disappeared, because the rest of the world that is not taken up to meet Jesus Christ in the air are experiencing judgment. Although judgment is being poured out right now, but most don't see it as judgment.
The reason why people believe that there will be a rapture and millions will disappear and the world will wonder why they did is because of what is known as Dispenationalism and its list of doctrines that support the conspiracy against the Lord Jesus Christ, like a house of cards.
Dispensationalism teaches that the 70th week of Daniel 9 is the 7 Year Tribulation that will be played out at the end of the age and that it will usher in a thousand year golden age, where the returned Christ will rule from earthly Jerusalem. But the 70th week was the 3 1/2 years when Jesus walked the earth as the Son of man and as Daniel 9:27 says, in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice to cease because he is the ultimate sacrifice and the second part of the 70th week was the time after the Holy Spirit came to earth and in which we are now and as the bible says, "We must through much tribulation enter the kingdom of heaven."
When Jesus comes back the dead in Christ will rise and we which remain at his coming will rise to meet him in the air, and this world will be judged and found wanting and destroyed and a new heavens and a new earth will be created wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The rapture is not biblical, it's a false doctrine; so no one will be able to explain it because it will not happen. The rapture is a very effective strategy the devil set up to trick people into believing they can postpone their conversion. But the the devil knows that there is no such thing as a rapture. When Christ returns the second time, that is it, it's too late for conversion. Therefore, many people will be lost because they waited too long to accept Jesus into their hearts.
If you want a real thriller, I recommend watching the amazing movie called "Final Events" which dramatically captures the rapture and other final events of Earth's history. You won't regret it.

Here is a short pocket book which covers the rapture in more detail and explains misunderstood Bible texts.

The world would try to give scietific reasons like evolution and I suppose they wud even search for the disappeared people for some time until the appearence of the beast.
But why do u care about it when u plan not to stay here so long?
Anyway I hear that in some countries they do'nt appoint people who r re-born as pilots.Though, it doesn't happen everywhere , in some countries it does happen.

You are wise to know this. There are new age sites that talk about this also. I posted one below. The devil will allow them to have some kind of excuse.
The scientists must also have some kind of explanation. I think it will be evolution. For now there are a lot of missing fossils at certain stages and their disappearance is hard to explain. But with the sudden disappearance of millions of people at the same time it will help explain the lack of missing fossils because it was witnessed by millions of people and proven to be an actual event in human history. The scientist will regard that as a leap in evolution. Just as those new age sites have already described it.
That is the time I believe that the three disciplines of new age thought, science, and humanism will lead to a world leader who will reject God. That is the time God will allow the strong delusion to take over this world.
Of the three the scientist is not doing this for a religious reason. However he almost must conform to this unity because the physical evidence can take him to no other conclusion.

Hypothetical News Story
Jill: And now with Jack on the mysterious disappearance of millions of people.
Jack: Thanks Jill. Millions of people have mysteriously vanished without a trace. Scientists are baffled. Could it be a aliens? Or maybe we are living in the time of the Rapture. Who knows? Lets go live now to Bob who is with the arch bishop of new york. are you there Bob?
Bob: Yeah Jack, I am here with Archbishop who has informed me that this is the Rapture. Catholics all over the world are baffled. I have just learned that all the people who have disappeared are reportedly Mormons.
Jack: Mormons?
Bob: Yeah Jack, Mormons. Who would have thought such a crazy religion would have been the right one? Certainly not this reporter. Back to you Jack.
Jack: We will be checking in periodically with Bob to get updates from the Archbishop. In further news, riots have broken out simeltaneously around the world. We are going to go live with Steve who is downtown reporting on the local riot. Steve are you there?
Steve: Yeah Jack, I am here. It is pure chaos down here. Sheer pandomonium. People are looting everything in site.
Jack: Where are the police officers?
Steve: Oh they are here. Look there goes one with a 42" Sony Bravia LCD.
Jack: Thats a nice tv. I have one of those in my bedroom.
Jill: It is a nice tv. I've seen it.
Jack: Uhhhh......Back to you Steve.
Steve: Hey thats my camera. Stop trying to take our camera. I need it for the report. Hey don't come any closer. Ouch. That hurts. Stop hitting me. Stop it, stop kicking me. No don't shoot me. Take the camera. Take my wallet. (BANG) For the love of Gaw----eehhhhhhh?
Jack: Our thoughts and prayers are with Steves family.
Jill: And now for the weather. We give you to Lacy.
Lacy: Looks like the weather is going to be in the upper 70's with a good chance of Hell.
there, are you happy now.

According to Peter, "rapture" is a FALSE interpretation.
2 Peter 3:7 BY GOD’S WORD THE HEAVENS AND EARTH OF TODAY ARE BEING RESERVED FOR FIRE. They are being kept for the day when God will judge. Then ungodly people will be destroyed.
8 Dear friends, here is one thing you must not forget. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years. And a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. He is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The HEAVENS WILL DISAPPEAR with a roar. FIRE WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING IN THEM. God will judge the EARTH and EVERYTHING IN IT.
11 So EVERYTHING WILL BE DESTROYED. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives. 12 Live like that as you look forward to the day of God. It will make the day come more quickly. On that day FIRE WILL DESTROY THE HEAVENS. Its HEAT will MELT EVERYTHING IN THEM.
Peter makes it clear that NO ONE or NO THING will be "left behind." One of the primary "rules" of Biblical interpretation tells us that no interpretation of figurative material in scripture which conflicts with clear language elsewhere can be valid. The pop-theology "rapture" assumes SOMETHING will be "left behind" while Peter writes "EVERYTHING WILL BE DESTROYED."
One of the major scriptures offered in support of the "left behind" concept is Jesus talking about the coming kingdom in Luke chapter 17...
20 Once the Pharisees asked Jesus when God’s kingdom would come. He replied, “The coming of God’s kingdom is not something you can see just by watching for it carefully. 21 People will not say, ‘Here it is.’ Or, ‘There it is.’ God’s kingdom is among you.”
... he goes on:
34 “I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed. One person will be taken and the other left... 36Two women will be grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other left.”
Correct interpretation REQUIRES us to consider this together with the other passages where Jesus talks about the coming kingdom to understand the meaning. These other passages must also be true, so an interpretation which conflicts with them cannot be valid.
In Mark 9:1, Jesus said, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Some who are standing here will not die before they see God’s kingdom coming with power.”
Here we are told THOSE PEOPLE would SEE the kingdom IN THEIR LIFETIME. This means that whatever Luke 17 IS talking about HAD TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST CENTURY, NOT some future time.

Well, it would provide some sort of evidence and we could check who had been "raptured" to what kind of belief they had in common and possibly reconstruct the system behind it.

All I can think of is that they will say its alien abduction. There is this thing called project bluebeam that NASA is working on (top secret type stuff) and some conspiracy theorists have said that this bluebeam technology will make people think that Jesus has descended from the skies and that the antichrist will be behind it.

Ok, if youre up for some bigtime conspiracy stuff, check this one out...
