We used to do this, the kids and I. One year it would be a kitchen/cooking theme with cute little gadgets like a candy thermometer, spices, one of those tiny spice graters, cinnamon sticks, etc

Another year we did "art" with paintbrushes, a box of pastels, drawing pencils etc.

Or socks and scarves - its always fun because everyone is getting the same "theme" and its funny to see some of the socks being given as gifts - my daughter loves wild and crazy socks so its always fun shopping for her -- its just seems to bring another feeling of "cohesiveness" to xmas and no one is left floundering wondering what the heck to get as stocking stuffers --

I mean, thats prejudice. I can understand it if, say, a black person or someone said that, but why do WHITE people, especially non-Jews or non-gays, say that they hate Nazis and skinheads? I have friends who are skinheads and their goal is to make sure that whites and their children have secure futures and rights. Now to me, I dont see why I should hate them for that or what they believe in. I dont hate anybody for what they believe in (but Im a misanthrope, so I kinda hate everyone at least a bit in most cases). Aside from my skinhead/Nazi friends, I have friends that are Muslims, Christians, Blacks, Jews, Asians, and athiest/Satanists like myself (not devil worshippers, Satanists. Theres a difference). I know that violence tends to be a great tool to skinheads, but the ones I know are usually pretty smart and get things done politically a lot of the time.

So, I guess my overall question is, why hate the ones who want to help you?

An American entered a bar and stood beside a Scotsman.
After they had chatted for a while the Scot asked, "Where are you from?"
The American replied "I'm from the finest country in the world."
The Scot looked skeptical and replied "Are you? You have a damn funny accent for a Scotsman."

the people in Sudan wanted the Briton to die for calling a teddy bear Mohmammed and people in United states want Vick to be totured because of dogfighting. Yet Sudan people seem evil.

My dad sent me this e-mail with the act of contrition that dove into the deeper meanings and taught about the perfect act of contrition . I came to this part:
Universal
"The act of contrition must include all of the mortal sins. One may never keep even one pet sin. Thus, if a person living in adultery is very sorry for his sins of eating meat on Fridays, but will not give up his sinful life of adultery, he cannot get rid of even one sin. One either leaves all of his sins behind, or he keeps all of them for God's just judgment at the moment of death. Unlike teeth, which when left alone, will pass away, sins, however, when left alone will never pass away."
I always thought that my sins were forgiven. I never mentioned the ones that I knew I would do again, because I thought it was wrong to ask for forgiveness if you were just going to do the act again.
From what I've heard, my Church won't consider me an adulteress because I was never married in the church in the first place but was divorced twice, I don't know how you consider it, maybe I am. One thing is for sure though, I am living in sin, therefore my sins are retained according to that. All of them, It hurts in my gut, I feel all twisted up inside and I've been more than depressed, I've been distraught.
It's all my fault, I lived the life, but I honestly thought those other sins were forgiven, but I was wrong.

and i'm not talking about obvious things. Of course you would buy a house, car etc. What would you do on a more personal level?

My mother in law has the misfortune of having the biggest witch in the word for a DIL. She moved up north and refuses to ever come back to Alabama and even let my MIL see her grandkids. My MIL works as a manager of a convienence store and there is no way in the world she could ever have off enough time to go up there to see them. She hasn't seen them in 8 years. If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is to go buy a black Escalade with leather seats and drive my MIL up there to see her grandkids. and maybe btch slap the DIL while i'm there.

The Koran is the only book that denounces and criticizes other religions. The Bible or the Torah never speak out against other religions. So why does the Koran do this?

2) Nice people with different opinions
3) I don't give a damn

Pick only one please
Again, be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if majority of you pick 1.

I'm 14 (almost 15) and I am dying. I am trying to plan my funeral because I really don't want my parents to have to do it after I croak. This way they get to feel they have done it exactly as I wanted (but to be honest, I couldn't really care - funerals are for the benefit of those left behind).

Hymns for the service:
- Nearer My God to thee
- Be still my soul
- I also like Turn Turn Turn but even though it is taken from the bible it is might be seen as a 'pop song'

Songs for after the service
- You'll never walk alone
- The Parting Glass

Do you think these would be OK, out of place, or too morbid?

Also, I can't decide whether to be buried or burned.

And is it too outrageous to ask for everyone, including the coffin carriers, to wear celtic football shirts instead of black suits? Black suits just make people feel even worse!

Is it a blasphemy?

Like "Oh my God! I am too fat to slip into these lovely pants!"

"Oh my God! My ice-cream just taste like sheet."

Are those people really respecting "God" by saying "OMG!" for trivial situations?

Thank you for your answer.

I looked all through my Cliff's Notes copy of the bible, and I couldn't find the part where it says, "Thou shalt not have a sense of humour", or the part where it says that God and His followers will punish the humourous. So, is it a sin?

My niece is 2 years old and I'm trying to keep them all in the same price range. Around $20-$30. But I am clueless as to what to get her. She doesn't really show interest in anything but her older sister's toys, but they are all "big girl" toys and she can't play with them. What would be appropriate?

I need some ideas about what to get my wife for Christmas. Honestly, she doesn't want for much. I am the worst at shopping for clothes. She doesn't wear jewelry. She has pretty much everything a person could want and she says she doesn't want anything for Christmas. Or, she doesn't know what she wants. I gave her $1,000 to just blow on whatever she wants. But I want to get her some actual wrapped gifts to open Christmas morning.

What's hot this year and does anyone have any recommendations. She is in her mid 30's. I would appreciate serious answers and no sexual or inappropriate reference.
