A vacation!!! Either a nice long weekend getaway to a Bed n Breakfast or an actual trip somewhere - Mexico is hella cheap. She probably wants to not spend money on silly things like clothes so get her something you know she would enjoy - being with you, relaxing and seeing some sights.

You know your wife best ... so my suggestion is this:
Look at her Hobbies, her Sports Activities, does she like Reading ... Writing, Drawing or Photography (from some of the more intellectual activities) ...
How about a nice night out (wrap the tickets) to the (future date) Local Theater Production -- the Colleges around you produce a VERY NICE and entertaining evening .. for very little cost! (Or Art Exhibit, Symphony Tickets .. whatever).
Give her a Gift Certificate for NEW Photos for some of those Glamor Photography Places ... a Nice treat for her (because they do ALL the makeup and hairstyling) and a nice treat for you -- you'll have some awesome photos to keep in your wallet or on your desk!
ASK her what she would like to have done to the House to make it NICER -- maybe a GIFT of a NEW Countertop ... Dishwasher ... something else?
Does she like tools (or making things)? If so ... give her some NEW and more expensive tools (I know that I would DEFINITELY appreciate that -- especially since I (yes, Female -- over half century old) DO do my own home repairs!
I, too, don't wear jewelry (except for special occasions -- like Concerts or Social Events) ... but I DO have in my own safe a collection of unset (precious) stones .. it is an investment that I can keep.
How about the GIFT of time -- wrap a booklet of "CHORES" That you VOLUNTEER to do that you normally would not -- like vacuum ... whatever!
Just SPEND Time with her ... that is all she may really want! So a walk on the beach, a walk through the snow .. some time together bicycling .. whatever .. that would also be appreciated! (Hey, how about his and hers sports equipment!)

Wow, I wish my man would give be $1,000. LOL. Anyways...don't buy her clothes! Guys aren't very good at picking out clothes that we like and 90% of the time, you get the wrong size, and we are either offended, or then depressed because we can't fit into them. LOL. I can't believe she doesnt wear jewelry..what woman doesn't want some diamonds? Anyways...how about some electronics? Video Camera? Camera? Digital Photo Frames are awesome if she has a digital camera. Or something for her car..like an electric car starter (I want one really bad!) or a GPS system. Maybe some DVD's of her favorite movies. And I don't know about her...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE gift sets that have bubble bath and stuff. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

You can almost NEVER go wrong with a piece of jewelry. It certainly doesn't have to be expensive, but it does have to be special. If you walk into the jewelry store and look around, try to find something that reminds you of her. If that's not good, maybe she would like a gift certificate to a salon for a manicure and pedicure or a massage or facial. If her favorite TV show is on DVD, that would also be nice. I hope I helped :)

Get her a gift certificate for a spa day! Or maybe even a couples spa day! Also some good books are always huge! Try to look into something extra special. Perhaps you could do a little Scavenger Hunt and the clues could all be pointing to the gift a weekend in a hotel!

One year at Christmas when my children were teenagers, I gave them cash and told they had to buy and wrap their own presents from me and then I would be surprised when they opened them. It was amazing! When they unwrapped the gifts, they told me why they liked each one and why they chose it. It was really fun to see their selections and it was a window into their tastes and personalities. Plus, there was none of that going to the crowded mall to return gifts. Everything fit and it was just what they wanted and there were plenty of packages under the tree.
I think your wife might like this too.

I had suggested this to another guy posting on here...I said to make a CD that is a slide show. It can be made on the computer using Microsoft Power Point. Use pics from all the time you have shared together. It's sentimental and shows that you care. Plus its original...and you can add music to it for more effectic.

You could go to a build-a-bear, and make a bear that reflects how you feel towards her. Then write a love poem to her on a nice piece of paper, and pin it to the bear's paw.
Gifts from the heart are the ones that mean the most..

My mom's wanting a Dyson vacuum and a flatscreen tv, but I dunno if she'll get it or not.
What about a robe? Or an mp3 player? Digital camera? Nice leather blazer? A warm coat? A puppy / kitten? (lol)
Sorry, that's all I can think of! Good luck!
