I live in the Tulsa Oklahoma area. There is ice, more ice, and some more ice. We are totally covered in ice. Did I say that we had ICE, boy, do we have ice. Our power went out this morning around 4am and we just now got it back on at 8pm. It was and is so cold in this trailer of mine. No way of heating it at all. There are HUGE trees that are down now in our yard do to the wait of the ice. Still more BIG limbs falling out of the trees that are still standing. It is a WINTER WONDERLAND here. Wish you all could see it here. Lots of work to do once the ice is all melted. We are going to have lots of firewood for someone that is for sure, 90% of it is pecan. Every thing out here is covered in downed trees and limbs. We lost 1/4 of a BIG pecan tree here. The base of the limb was at least 2 foot across. Someone is going to have a fun job of cutting all that wood up. I am going to do the little stuff my self. Oh did I tell you that we have ICE every where? Hope we don't loose power again. About 15 minutes ago the weather man said it was 33 here right now. That was on channel 23.

Temperature sitting around freezing and the air aloft a little warmer It rained most of the night and when it hit the frozen ground we got about an inch of ice, what a skating rink. Lost some trees and power lines from the ice. Took an hour to defrost the windshield on my brothers truck. Took me twenty seconds using a kettle of boiling water. More expected tonight
Forgot to say I am in Boston, Home of the almost famous Red Sox (heheand I can't think of that patriotic name for the football team lol just kidding

We are hovering right around freezing...supposed to be the same for most of this week I think. We may or may not get snow.
Currently we have four inches on the ground, and most roads are reasonably clear with only intermittent patches of compressed snow and ice that make walking a wee bit difficult.
Did my grocery shopping yesterday with my trusty four wheeled cart...had to find a convoluted route home, but managed to make it with my close to 100 lbs of groceries without breaking a wheel this time (like I did during out first snow fall about a month ago).

I hope all of you getting hit with snow and ice storms will stay safe and warm!
Nice warm day here in Central Florida, 79 degrees F (about 26 degrees C).....
"When, what to my wondering eyes should appear"....
I was wondering what our local weather reporter was clammering about this morning. It's too early for them to spot Santa. "Tropical disturbance near Puerto Rico". Well shoot, so much for the end of the tropical storm season!
I'm wishing that those of you from points north of Florida will be kind enough to send us a cold front to shear off this pesky disturbance before it has a chance to cause trouble.....;)

I'm in Kansas and surrounded by ice. My power was out for about 2 hours, but I've been very lucky. I know some people who haven't had any since early morning yesterday. It's 32 right now. I hope nothing is coming from the sky.

sunny, about four inches of new snow, one day its freezing,
-9C or even -14C and the next day its +3 C and melting, yesterday it snowed all day, and was bloody cold, today the sun is shining and it feels really warm sitting outside in the sunshine and everything is melting and making a huge mess again - the weather is like a yoyo -- and its wearing people out
