It is proven that the prophecies in the bible are more accurate than any other prophecies. Most have already happened. They say these sort of chances are 1:1,000,000. So how do you explain this? Some drug addict can not foretell the future, but god who sees it can.

any religion is just a set of myths designed to teach moral behavior. THAT'S ALL!!!

and will they EVER realize that this is not an insulting comment? and that they are insulting the world with their closed-minded self-righteous beliefs.

even now, as you read this, christians (most of whom act nothing like christ) are shutting me out. they are closing and locking mental doors so that they can go on believing.

just because the bible is NOT true, doesn't mean it isn't FULL of valuable lessons.

just because you christians cling to your blind faith, doesn't make you right and it doesn't make you virtuous either.

please stop acting insulted long enough to see all the insults you give to others

In your view, God picks your parents. When they conceive, he picks your soul's personality to a degree. God's even given credit for miscarriages, so I hear.

Tell me why your god would force any new soul to experience incest, beatings, and psychological torture from the only people in charge of its care.

Don't say he didn't force it - he chose it like he could have chose to make a mother infertile, or have a series of miscarriages.

And please... "to understand and help others who went through the same thing" does not justify anything. There should be no one to help.

But do tell me if you know someone who tried to be raped so that they'd have more understanding.

This question is hard to get an answer to. In the bible it says all was good and there was no evil. How did Lucifer then become evil? He wanted to "be God." But this is an evil desire, so where did this evil desire come from when evil supposedly had no existence. God didn't create evil, so therefore the Ark angel could not have created it either. Where did evil come from before the devil? It couldn't have just appeared out of no where? Who was the one to (evily) tempt Lucifer?

i got word from a friend of mine today that at his school the very same school i graduated from has a extremist christian youth group and the members of this group are now acting like brain washed zombies who only do the things the youth minister (also a student at the school) says are ok to do they stop talking to freinds, they stop going out with boyfriend/girlfriends, stop going to the movies, tells them how to dress, how to talk, who to be with, what books they can/can't read(some of which were class manditory readings for liturature classes/"not sure on this 1 just what was said"/) they only eat what he says is ok, tells them were they cannot go or be seen at, tells were they can and cant eat at,so on and so forth, because he deems them "not christian enough"

THIS MUST BE STOPPED IT ISNT RIGHT

do you think if all people just let them be, they would make Christianity vanish eventually?

if so, are people about to witness the self-destruction of Christianity?

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

The quote was from a Roman emperor, and is not aimed at Christianity or any religion in particular. It's a brilliant quote that does a good job of countering Pascal's Wager when applied to atheism, but let's take it a little farther.

Consider a God in Heaven who, in similar fashion to the Abrahamic God, has some totally arbitrary rules for us. His first and most important rule is that organized religion is the ultimate sin, because it leads to intolerance and needless conflict. Any act defying logic in the name of religion would put you in serious danger of eternal punishment.

That's something I never understood when I was going to Christian schools growing up. I don't know anyone, even Christian family and friends, who enjoy being tortured or abused. I can't imagine anything that is worth going through that type of thing. Yet the Bible and many churches teach that suffering makes them closer to God. If God is that sadistic, I wouldn't want anything to do with him.
