Just goes to show they cant get their own act together....they all accuse one another of "being wrong" and which is the one with the truth, etc. Other people dont have to make them look bad, they do it themselves...It gets you nowhere...

Because they are human beings and not robots. Christians are like people in school as far as their understanding of the bible, their faith, and the spiritual levels of maturity. Some have been saved for many years and some for a short period of time. Some have very little biblical knowledge and some have a lot. Some are more serious about their relationship and fellowship with the Lord than others. There are some who have been saved 15 years, but are still in the baby crib when it comes to spiritual maturity and biblical knowledge, and some who have been saved for 5 years that are more mature and understand the bible more. Some are in grade school, some are in high school and some are in college but, no one has finished school. We attend different churches, with different pastors, we listen to different teachers, come from different backgrounds, and some people are more teachable than others. Many Christians listen to and are taught false doctirnes and they believe it because they cannot discern truth from error. I don't mean they are in a false religion, but some people are drawn to those who teach what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. Why? Because what they need to hear may interfere with their lifestyle. There will always be bickering and disagreements amongst Christians because we are individuals and we still battle with the sin nature.
And last but not least not everyone who claims or profess to be a Christian is one.

Different sects of Islam fight
Different sects of Judaism fight.
Where ever there is a family fight that ends in misunderstanding and lack of forgiveness, there you find something human within something meant to be holy. Pride. Clear and simple. Is the answer you seek.

Are we seeing this dying before our eyes? Yes. "if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem" "if these things are done while yet the wood is green, think upon when the wood is dry." "In the last days there will be much apostasy and disbelief." "When Christ returns, will He find even one believer?"

What is holding the wrath of God back?

Well if you want an honest answer from an honest Christian...
(okay everybody just thumbs down now and move on)

The reason is because the enemy wants nothing more than the body of Christ to be divided up and warring among itself so as to appear useless and a bad witness to non-believers.

Your question is one of truth when you speak of the " church " and its bickering. The Bible says not to agrue on foolish doctrines.
Though there are ministries today that their main mission is to open the eyes of Church leaders, and to lay down denominations and their agruements. Christianity will never die, it is written.
Everything we have, is based off of it, even our calender, our constitution, and more.
You must remember just because someone says they are Christian does not make them real. The Bible teaches us to use the fruits of the Spirit to know who , and what they are.( meaning their actions)

Are they?

Read the Bible. The churches in the book of Revelations were bickering all the time.

No to destroy Christianity would be like trying to destroy Christ, it will never happen. Jesus is Christianity..., weather you believe or not, you cannot get rid of God.

Man is the one making up religions to feed his own ego.

Study to show thyself approved.

There is no such thing as "themselves." There is no group called "Christians" or "Christianity." Those are merely generic terms used to classify a wide band of diverse religious traditions that are only superficially united by common origin. Asking why Christians bicker amongst themselves is like asking why political parties bicker amongst themselves.

Oh, and to put it into perspective, why would I want to silently endorse baloney like eternal hell, anti-homosexual propaganda, creationism, and anti-intellectualism? Surely you aren't suggesting that I endorse that crap just because some Christians do! That would be like an atheist endorsing Stalinism.

Haha! that is a distinct possibility.
I don't know why, but people seem to like picking fights with other people, over differences in religion, race, sexual orientation, sex, height, weight, and the list goes on.
