How is it logical to live without fear? Fear has protected mankind for ages. Granted, I know that some people are trapped by their fear, but to have no fear is dangerous. To say that you are not afraid of anything, means (at least to me) that you haven't considered all the possibilities.

I mean putting aside all the loathfull bashing and hatred, pls say something positive abt the other two groups. Since I'm a Muslim, I would say...

Christians: Love debating with them.
Atheiets: Though debating with them can give me a headache, yet I find them very smart, well most of them.

Since God sustains all things, how can he concentrate himself into one person? Doesn't that mean that he is not in other people as much as that one person?

"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." – John 3:16

It is traditional for me as my family is VERY Anglican (my father for fun, did a distance theology degree....) however I've been a practicing Buddhist for about 6 years. I've not held Christian beliefs long before that but I always celebrated with my family.

I can't get home this year as I just had a baby. So now comes the question of, do I celebrate on my own?

My partner was often told "Santa Claus can't afford to give to all the children, and since he knows you don't need extra toys to be happy he's not coming to you this year" - so he doesn't really care about Christmas either way now.

I do believe that Jesus lived and was a great teacher. I believe the world would be better if more people tried to take his messages to heart and live by them. I do believe the date picked to celebrate him is important (I also celebrate Martin Luther King Day).

I just feel funny as its suppose to honour the birth of a deity in which I don't believe....

it's a penecostal christian church, they read about God, sing, it's really a colorful experience every time i'm there, when i used to go to a catholic church, it hurt my knees, the lecture was with no feeling, the songs were not too modern, just didn't bring out the heart in me.....i read the bible more now that i'm a christian and i'm more involved with the bible.....it's a really good feeling to have and i'm living more with the bible day by day, people can criticize this and that, but i'm seeing results in my life from reading the bible and going to church, it is a little weird sometimes with people falling and others catching them, i know what they mean when they do that, but that benny hinn guy doesn't really have to do that, he can just preach and stick to being a preacher, people that puts hands on each other isn't really holy if you ask me, i think just believing it is all that counts, are there some catholics that are against christians, vice versa

Is there something inside them that keeps them in check?
Is there a deep rooted admission in their hearts that a Being greater than themselves exists?
Do the limits of reason and science disturb them?

Do the unseen evidences of personality and consciousness cause them to contemplate life after death?

My question is for Muslim Male or Female doctors, how do you deal if the patient of opposite gender comes to you? Especially if you are a male doc. and a female patient has come to you, how do you do her check-up and all.?

I think Allah has given a room to this, because the question of one's health comes in and one should keep their intention and thinking pious, rest Allah knows the best~!

But still I would like to know. Thanks :)

Certain questions are done to death.

The latest one being:

"Why do athiest (sic) celebrate Christmas?"

I suggest the auto-responder for this would not only block the question, but would email the follwing answer to the asker:

"The celebration is a midwinter festival and predated Christianity as Yule and Saturnalia. These festivals were adopted by Christianity, while keeping all the Yule trimmings.

Atheism simply means: 'non-belief of deities'.

Atheism doesn't mean: 'non-celebration of common secular or religious widwinter festivals and holidays.'

We hope that answered your question. If not, please use the search for questions near the top of the R&S page where you will find this question answered (blah thousand and numpty noo) times ."

Are there any other R&S questions that should get a block and autoresponder?

instead of referring to themselves as just "christians"? it's confusing non-Christian people what to call them.

if a non-Christian ask Christians why they believe in rapture, some Christians of other denomination will protest since their particular sect don't believe in 'rapture'.

can't non-denominational be specific of their name, instead of just calling themselves as "Christians", so that other people can tell which is which, especially because there are thousand sects of Christianity?
