First off, the photographers son did not admit it was a fake. I am sure she is refering to Wallace who a decade earlier had his road construction interupted by a bigfoot. Interestingly, it was the road which is right above (topographically) the Patterson film site. It is a place where dozens of encounters were reported. Patterson was there trying to find footprints to include in a documentary he was making. Wallace believed in bigfoot IMO, but was not present during the encounters which were generally simply footprints left at the construction site. Wallace made some fake foots afterwards and then even created some hoaxes but his . His footprints were based on actual footprints. The film was made by Roger Patterson. It is genuine. It is not quite proof but it is certainly good evidence.

that is very old footage,and the photographer or his son has admitted that it was fake.
