The answer is yes. The issue is clouded by the details, though. Catholics can get mired down with iconography and the deification of Mary. Protestants can be led astray by focusing on manifestations of the Holy Spirit and self-centered theology.

Severally people have also commented that Jews and Muslims worship the same God as well. It would be more accurate to say that Christians, Jews and Muslims all decended from a single patriarch (Abram, or Abraham as he was later called) whose revelation of a single creator God initiated this particular set of monotheistic belief systems. Muslims were eventually corrupted by bad theology through the "prophet" Muhammed to create a religion entirely distinct from the God of the Torah. Jews await the Messiah (savior) and hold to the law of Moses (more or less) as seen in the Torah and, to varying degrees, the books of the prophets Malachi, Obadiah, Jeremiah, etc. Catholics and Christians are simply those who view Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah to the Jews, who through additional revelation, became savior not only to the Jews but to all of humanity.

Hope that helps!

I don't think that they both worship the same overall Deity because the protestants emphasise the God of the Bible and read from the Holy book, while the catholics' emphasis is mainly on the man-made doctrine, they do not read directly from the bible but from the doctrine's that were written affiming what they believe.

As far as I know they do. The Protestants came about in response to indulgences, so the main difference would be the manner of worship, not the deity being worshipped.

Yes they do they belive in a trinity and celebrate pagan and babaylon customs and tratitions.

The bible gave the example of false teachings in the book of Acts. These false teachings have lead to a religion that is confusing, and led to many wars, conflicts, and so on. They are not in agreement.

So yes, they do believe in the same God, but they are not Followers of Jesus, who is the Son of God Almighty. No trinity. Both above organizations, believe mankind will solve mankind's problems and not Gods kingdom.

Of coarse they disagree and for some very good reasons. Believe in God to the best of your ability. Don't believe in a religion, but have a glorious relationship with Jesus. Don't cheat yourself by following a religion, The curtain was rent and no longer are their any priest that stand between man and God. Jesus is waiting with open arms, my brothers and sisters. He loves you with a perfect love. God bless you all

They both worship the God of the Christian Bible. Unfortunately - and this is why I don't like organized religion or sects of one religion they do interpret the Bible differently.
