No I don't think I could do the threesome thing with my husband but more interested in just myself with another woman. Should I just get this out my head since I'm already married or is it not really cheating since it's just another girl.

A religious person might say they believe in god because they do not want to go to hell. If a god was sending people to hell because they basically won't kiss his butt, that would make god evil in my view. As an atheist and I learned that I was wrong there really was an angry god I would happily resist him even if it meant I was going to hell. Why do Christians follow in what they believe to be an angry god?

"hey is that your real hair?" i was actually offended when i was waiting on the bus, this black man comes up to me becuase he had a question but then when he saw how long my "hair" was, he asked if it was mine. now i wear a wig thats real hair and my normal hair is just about the same length as the wig, but i want my hair to be longer which is why i'm trying to leave it alone by wearing a wig.

but the point i'm trying to make out is that people are so stereotype these days to think that black women can't grow hair, we didnt ask to have the type hair that we have and i'm sure many black women desire long hair but we just need alot of extra help then white women. so what do you think?

Idioms.

While idioms are more a function of culture than language I feel it was appropriate to address the issue in the lesson

Note: Idioms are not to be confused with slang.

examples:

kick rocks = telling somebody to leave.
beat that [p..ssy] up = to have pasionate sex
ride or die = to be loyal (not an ultimatum)
put it in the air = to smoke a blunt

What distinguishes idioms from slang is that an idiom uses ordinary words often in a metaphorical or allegorical context. Whereas slang involves the uses of an original word.

ex. words like krunk, diss (insult), chickenhead, ect are slang because they are not part of the standard english lexicon. - as opposed to referring to a car as a whip; which is part metaphor and part synecdoche (a whip is what the steering wheel was called when automobiles were first invented)

can you name some other common idoms used in black vernacular english?

Christmas time approaches us.

For the majority, this means that it is time to start wondering what cool things you will get for your family, and if someone will buy you an iPhone or “Superbad” on DVD.

Many Christians claim that Christmas is a day that we should remember as Jesus’ birthday and that we should never forget it.

Along that line of thought, some non-Christians don’t like Christmas, because they claim it is a 'Christian' holiday.

But are these claims true? Should unbelievers resent the Christian aspect, or do we Christians have even more reason to resent the ungodly merchandising?

Is it too reigious, or too worldly, or just right in YOUR opinion?

I've heard some atheists say this and I was wondering if this was true. After all, research has shown that humans have a part of their brains dedicated to religious and spirtitual feelings. Every human culture throughout history has believed in some sort of a God or gods. There is evidence that neanderthals had complex burial rituals...which suggests some sort of religion. Belief seems to be a hardwired part of human behavior. I suspect that any group of humans brought up in isolation will create some sort of religion. Do you agree with me? Why or why not?

Pagan, Hellinstic......., Heathen, evolutionists, creationists, etc etc????

Just state what it is, in relation to belief that "God" is the higher mind/love/creator/all that is.

What does that belief actually believe?

It is only on here that they surface for me, and I would like to know what people are referring to.
I took the Belief-o-matic thingy on the web, and "it" says my belief is hinduism/buddhism.
I actually have not idea what I would call myself.
I know I can understand and embrace much from many different beliefs, but this is the thing, not all of it.
"Curiouser and curiouser" said Alice.

Please share what it is that is the meaning of your actual belief, or life values?

I have an opinion already on who it is and I'm really interested what other people think. To people who dont know the details, God told Adam he could eat any fruit on the garden except the tree of knowledge. When Eve was tempted by the snake then passed it through to Adam, both of them realized of their nakedness then was banished by God.

How far would the church have to go before you would begin to question?
- reinstating polygamy?
- ordaining women to the priesthood?
- the prophet admitting in conference that it isn't true?
- elimination of the temple ceremonies?
- declaring that all atheists should be put to death on the spot regardless of the legal consequences?
- something else?

I know these may seem ridiculous but I'm just wondering how far it would have to go before you would begin to doubt.

And if you don't have an answer then please don't post...I'm curious to see what responses I get.
