I asked this before but didn't get good answers and then no more.

I'm writing a story about a man who hates God so much that he decides he wants to destroy God. With the power of evil, he devises a plan to do so. There's WAAAAAYYYY more to the story but that was a basic line that needed to be told so that I can have my question answred.

The story will involve NO RELIGION. No Catholicism/Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, even Satanism. It's supposed to be coming from no particular religion. With that said. Is it possible? How?

The message of the story will be that no matter what man's creed is, it will be man's and always has been man's fault that the world is the way it is. Only man will destroy the world. Blaming God, existing or not, is just an excuse to cover how evil the world is. There will be no heaven, hell, angels, saints. No Satan, he'll just be called The Spirit of Evil (The Destroyer) and God will be a god, but called The Spirit of Good (The Creator)

If not, what do you think it means? (before you answer, consider that you will be judged with what judgment you judge)

started a new job but I'm still working in the same trade (i am a cabinet maker) the new company has different ways of doing things and different tools and machines, different terminology for things. i am very experienced in my trade but some of the workers there think that because i am not familiar with THERE way of doing things and need to have some things explained to me that i am some sort of idiot. they make comments frequently that suggest that i am incompetent. it makes me so mad because in fact i have more experience then anyone there. so far i have just tried to take there insults as gracefully as i can but i don't know if this is really what i should do. i dread going to work because i went from a situation where i was respected and people knew my abilities to one where my value is questioned by everyone, it doesn't feel good. whats the right thing to do? do i tell them flat out that they are completely out of line for there suggestive comments or do i leave it alone.

I just read an answer to a question about how selfish pagans are and it's not the first time I've heard it.
I know a Heathen who is/was a volunteer fireman near NYC during 911
I know another pagan who is a nurse
Two more who are teachers
I am a stay at home mother.
I donate to St Jude, do clothing drives for abused women's shelters and donate my toys to the childrens advocacy center...
Where in all of that are we selfish?

What is it about baptism that made it appropriate illustration for paul to use in answering the question about whether we should go on sinning when we have been saved by grace?

In Romans 6 paul talks about slavery to god .yet before his death, jesus told his disciples,as recorded in john 15:15, that he would no longer call his disciples slaves but would from then on call them friends. is there a contra diction between Romans 6 and John 15?

thanks...

I'm mean before it has set you free.
Has it ever felt like everything you've learned..all the truths you've collected over your lifetime(s) weighs heavily on your shoulders? Why would it feel like this?
Is it the burden of responsibility? I thought truth was supposed to set one free.
When does the freedom part come?

I heard a lot of news saying that video games encourages violence. Events such as the Columbine Disaster are said to support the question above. Why do people think that way?

As a casual-gamer, I find it quite confusing. I play violent video games but I don't exert the violence out of me. Why people still think video games such as GTA series, ManHunt, Halo series, and Mortal Kombat encourage violence?

when you don't really care or want anything to do with them? For those who believe in religion, do you think God sent these people to you for a reason. Do you think they have something to tell you that's important?

If neither of this is the case, do you think these people who so desperately want to be apart of your life want something from you?

"I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently I assumed that it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption. Most ignorance is invisible ignorance. We do't kow because we don't want to know. The philosopher who finds meaning in the world is not concerned exclusively with a problem of pure metaphysics; he is concerned to prove that there is no valid reason why he should not do as he wants to, or why his friends should not seize power and govern in a way that is most adavantageous to themselves...For myself the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation being political, economic and sexual. I thought this was the most honest quote I have read by any atheist. Any thoughts?
