I once examine a fact of St. Alphonsus' Liguori of 18th c.Naples. a guy who had better than sufficient reason to struggle through from stress. He wrote that he concept it would want to be no longer available for anybody to be kept except Meditation change into practised. contained in the context from which he spoke,Christian because this is immediately, Meditation is a psychological Prayerful education by ability of which Sacred Mysteries are scrutinised/examined, imagined, concluded on, interorised, relished and utilized to memory, information and the will. with the exception of that,at a complicated age he would not were waiting to handle the deceit and betrayal from his confreres which he underwent, even to the point all this causing him to be excommunicated from the Church. i can in basic terms imagine that 'Forgiveness" is the antidote to his thoughts of betrayal & injustice.

Being a Christian is like a giant obstacle course with imaginary foes.
You must mow down all opposition to Christianity, force your beliefs on others, all the while claiming persecution.
You must enjoy said persecution because it pales in comparison with Christ's suffering.
All throughout life you must try and remain as sheltered from other beliefs as possible, while still maintaining that yours is the only way.
You must make sure your religion fits into all laws of even the most free country.
You must fear Hell and retribution for everything you do and live in constant doubt of your "sins"
Phew....being Christian is some kind of hard work.

Because the true christians have a great desire to spread the word of good news of salvation, but they are mocked, rejected and labeled as intolerant for wanting to save the depraved world. imagine having the power to feed all the hungry, but the starving people proudly stick up their nose and say that they want no food while dying because of starvation of anything substantial. that's why we're stressed.
also, christians are not perfect. we want to be, but our human nature causes a battle between our tendency to sin and our desire of holiness. that's just another source of stress.

There are stresses in life for everyone, not jsut Christians, but if you are noticing Christians being stressed more than any other person then I would say they are allowing themselves to be ruled by their emotions rather than trusting in God's comfort. He wants us to have a sound mind. He will provide this for us if we allow ourselves to be open to it.

I just wonder why some just can't take differing views even when expressed politely. Why block people just because they don't echo your opinion?
