I heard a lot of news saying that video games encourages violence. Events such as the Columbine Disaster are said to support the question above. Why do people think that way?

As a casual-gamer, I find it quite confusing. I play violent video games but I don't exert the violence out of me. Why people still think video games such as GTA series, ManHunt, Halo series, and Mortal Kombat encourage violence?

They're excuses for people who can't deal with modern society and don't want to think about things in any meaningful way.

The guy from Va tech got most of his plans from a video game, enough said. A lot of kids cannot keep make believe and reality in check, they get them confused. This is a recipe for diseaster. As we have already seen.

It's easier than admitting humans are genetically/environmentally/socially violent and dealing with that fact in an intelligent manner.

Some people aren't as mature. Especially some hs and younger kids.

Hmmm yeah i agree... i don't feel like running everyone over with cars.. i just do that in GTA. Don't beat hookers to death either.
