I'm mean before it has set you free.
Has it ever felt like everything you've learned..all the truths you've collected over your lifetime(s) weighs heavily on your shoulders? Why would it feel like this?
Is it the burden of responsibility? I thought truth was supposed to set one free.
When does the freedom part come?

In my journey to where I am today there were times I felt I carried a heavy burden, the weight of the world on my little shoulders. I thought at times that Truth had bound me, yet it was only in the going past it to the other side did I realize it was I who bound me. I was an infant learning a new way to be, not fully understanding all that was happening. I did not realize that my own conditioned & programed mind was the source of my pain. It was as if at times I carried all the pain of the world, all the sorrow, all the feeling of being lost. Unfortunately, empaths are particularily prone to this. It is difficult to have one foot each in separate worlds. I finally came to realize that yes, there is great responsibility, but to view it as a burden rather than a joy was my choice. Blessings.

If you collect "truths" and carry them around, then yes, they are burdensome. But also, once you pick up a truth and put it in your collection, it changes. Re-examine it, for it may no longer be truth. It shouldn't be so heavy. I often allow truths to fall away, because I realize that non-attachment is part of that truth. If I could do that with everything, I'd be enlightened. But alas, I am not. There are truths that weigh upon every seeker, and those are the ones that most need examining and airing out.

In another way, perhaps truth is like knowledge. If you know too much, you may not truly think about a question but rather pick the best answer out of a cubbyhole you've decided is appropriate. Too much learning is not necessarily a good thing. My own goal is to be so open-minded my brains fall out. If someone calls me an airhead, so be it. It won't kill me, as long as I remember to look both ways at intersections.

Edit: Sunman, you never struck me as being "mean!" ;=)

No. The only way it might be a burden is if one strays off the spiritual path that they are seeking. The truth.
Everything I've learned about religion, the
truths , the myths, Theology , divinity and so on have had a Huge impact in my life.
Without the knowledge I have now,
I would never have found God , The Son,
Jesus Christ my Savior and The Holy Spirit,
There is know burden of responsibility
searching for the truth. I personally have yet
to find the hole truth. When I die and my
Spirit is risen from my mortal body to Heaven. That is when I will find the Truth
and Freedom as one Within.
God Bless.

The burden is heavy indeed but understanding the truth gives one all the strength they need.

It feels like this because one must take responsibility for all their actions. The weight is caused by realising the effect they have had on others and this can cause one much grief.

Understanding the far reaching effects of our actions gives us the choice to act with wisdom as we see the truth of our actions and what effect they will have.

The freedom comes with the knowledge that all our actions are now rooted in the truth. Our actions from this moment on will become the cause for more perfect effects and that manifests greater love and wisdom for his power reaches the infinite. knowing we work in truth completely removes our burden. Balance is re-established.

hehe your typo is truly funny

Good question.

Truth should never be a burden. You should take the truth with you, just because you have the truth with one aspect doesn't mean that you are going along the wrong path. You should accept the truth and work with it. If you choice to avoid the truth and walk around it, then how do you know that you are taking the right path or not.

As always, I shall speak from my personal experience......I do not speak from theory or books unless I say that I have......Truth itself is not a burden. There is, however, a powerful responsibility to do right with it and by it. And by responsibility I mean that there is no one way to do that. Each one would have their own way of having come about the truth, would have their own understanding of the truth, and would have their own way of dealing with what they are a part of, and then what to do with it.

We are light filling a body.....we each articulate ourselves uniquely....and we discover the truth that is the piece of the puzzle for us. I say these things because we use language here to impart our inner world to each other....our grasp of how it is and what it is. So, given these spaces around us.....for me the responsibility to disseminate that which I am holder of (yes it is now manifest in physical form because that is why I have come and how my soul has decided to design it) is considered and considerable, because when one has something that has never been seen before, then being sure it reaches those who are waiting for it, is a responsibility of timing and release. The how of it, has been my own challenge as a human being who loves all equally but who is not granted the same accord, fully yet, in this world. And that is how it must be for me, to test my resolve and drive me on to find the strength that is my gift. Yet shot through all my existence is an absolute knowing that sees it all with unvarnished clarity. I am the most patient one in the world. And I am free. We all are. Always and eternally.

I have utmost trust and knowledge in what has come through me, and I wait and know that soon my time is come.....to let the children of the one, fly, fly, fly......

Truth is not a burden, thinking too much can be there is an important difference. A lot of times in spiritual pursuits as you move up "levels" what once seemed like truth doesn't apply anymore. Its kind of like as you move closer to God you get to a point where running around quoting laws and scripture doesn't seem as important as it may have when you first started your journey.

Sunman, your burden is not the one of the Truth. Your burden is the responsibilities that you assume from learning the Truths that you have discovered. When you learn something new, you assume a responsibility to not misuse that new information and to put it to the highest good. THAT is the burden that you either subconsciously or conciously chose to pick up with that new information. Does that seem to make sense to you?

Truth and knowledge are only a burden if you struggle to live them in their entirety. Stop being at odds with truth and you will experience the freedom that comes with living in honesty even if it means you are living alone.

Truth, no, never is a burden. Myself sometimes it is frightening to face it, but really the burden is fear or ignorance. And the best way to get rid of those, are with courage and education. The pursuit of truth is a challenge, but truth itself is the reward... Journey Well...
