1.) When he walked on the water and saw the waves.
2.) When he denied Jesus (thankfully, I'm not there yet. But it's hard being a Christian these days).

Just remember that although he didn't walk to Jesus on water, he was the only one with the courage to TRY.

He wanted to take the heat off of himself. He wanted to fit in, but as you know in many areas of your life (not just spiritual) there will be times when your views are very different from those around you. Just remember that if you don't stand strong for something, you will fall hard for anything.

Blessings to you. It is not always easy turning the other cheek, but it is not impossible either. You just have to be firm and set boundaries that even you are not willing to cross.

do you feel like peter when .....

Jesus gave Peter the "keys to the kingdom" & on the day of Pentecost Peter told those who wanted to know ...
"what must we do to be saved???"

Peter told them ... (these are the keys to entering the kingdom of God)...
"Repent, be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission on sins & ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Peter continued by saying ...
"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

when you ... like Peter ... explain what you MUST do to be saved .... you are rejected ??? you are told ... "that's not for us today" .... people want to argue w/ you & say all you have to do is ask Jesus "into your heart"???

oh well. somebody's got to tell them.
whether they believe & obey ....
or make up their own idea of salvation ...
if they don't enter w/ the keys Peter spoke of, they won't be able to open the door to enter into the kingdom ...
b/c Jesus won't allow you to enter any other way.

The book of James says we should rejoice in our tribulations.
Take heart! You are being prepared for a better place.

Hugs & blessings!
