G-d does not send people to Hell, there is no Hell. All good people deserve a good afterlife, regardless of whether or not they hold religious beliefs. That's what I was taught in my religious household, and that is what I hold to be true. Besides, if G-d was to send all the people who don't hold one specific religion to Hell, wouldn't everyone end up there? And that just doesn't make sense.

I do agree that God at time is angered at times (Noah's flood for example) but even then he gave the people a chance to repent. I am a sinner that lives through the mercy of God. We all have the chance to repent and turn away from sin. God's forgiveness and mercy is in direct relation to the forgiveness and mercy you extend to others. His blessings are endless when you become a giver and follow his word. By giving you receive. The God I know and love is not a angry god but he is a jealous god. I believe Jesus is God made flesh and dwelt among us. All power has been given to Jesus and his name. You should try asking Jesus for his understanding and read the Bible. It suprised me how many people say that they don't believe in God's word but have never taken the time to read it. In the beginning was the WORD! Try it, you might be surprised how forgiving God is and that he is reaching out for you.

The question I have for you is where did you get the idea that God sends anyone to hell? He does not send people to hell, they choose to go either through ignorance or disobedience. In any society there are rules that are expected to be followed, and if they are not there are consequences. I am a Christian, and I do not believe God is an angry God. I believe he probably gets frusterated and saddened by our actions. (Mine included, just because I am a Christian I don't believe I am perfect.) God is a perfect gentleman who does not force his will on us. He gave us the gift of free will, and it is up to us to choose to use that gift wisely. I think it is funny how people blame God for bad things. How can we kick him out of every part of our lives, and then expect him to bless us?

Men cannot be governed by carnal impulses alone. We must have a higher law. How else could we place each 'impulse' above another? Now, if this law is broken, then there naturally must be consequences. God's law is a perfect law. God has perfect mercy, but he is also perfectly just. He cannot view a breach of this law with the least degree of allowance, however he has provided a way to redeem ourselves should we fall astray.
Our Heavenly Father is not angry. He is just.

The Bible just depicts God as an angry God, almost 95% of the time everytime he appears in the Bible. God does not send people to hell; those that burn in hell chose to. Some christians follow God out of fear and awe of Him, but I follow Him out of love and respect for what He has done in my life. Numerous times He has saved me from death and has given me a life luxurious compared to others, though i'm not rich. God does get angry and punish, but He is quicker to mercy and love. In all ways, He acts like a father. And so He is the Father.
However you veiw God, do not view it on the history of the monotheistic religions that beleive in Him, or on the views of religous texts. View Him as you choose to.

Firstly, nice post Ryan B - looks like you put little effort into it. ;)
If someone says they are a Cristian, my first suggestion would be to disbelieve them. Now, I will not say every Christian is this way, but the high majority of them are full of poo.
They continuously break God's laws, and think that buy going to church and filling the coffers makes them true believers. LOL
They give themselves false hope, pure and simple because repentance is only good if you don't do whatever it is your repenting for again. How many times would you allow someone to lie; repeatedly, and still give them the greatest gift .. eternal happiness?

God doesn't send people to hell, that's the thing. People are so misinformed. That would obviously go against His nature of love. In fact, Romans 6:7 says, "he who has died has been acquitted from his sin." That's it. We're not held accountable for anything anymore once we are dead. We would've paid the price!

Look at it another way my friend. If I approached you on the street and in my left hand I offered you $100,000. In my right hand I offered you an angry, venomous snake, and I told you to pick whichever free gift you wanted. Would it be my fault if you picked the angry, venomous snake and it bit you and you died? Could I then be considered cruel for giving you a simple choice to make? Or how about if you ask me for directions to the theater and I carefully write down the exact route for you. On your way to the theater, you decide to go a different way and eventually get lost. Can you then blame me and say I did not give you good directions? This is how it is with God. He offers you eternal riches and glory with Him, or you can choose to decline His invitation and go your own way. Either way, it is your choice. God Bless You. Peace.

I am not trying to be mean her but hell is actually not a place of torment it unending Torment or Common Grave?
Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. What, then, is hell? Examining what happened to Jesus after he died helps to answer that question. The Bible writer Luke recounts: "Neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption."* (Acts 2:31) Where was the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: "I handed on to you . . . that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) So Jesus was in hell, the grave, but he was not abandoned there, for he was raised up, or resurrected.
s the actual grave of mankind.
