I think Political Correctness is more prevalent.
As for my personal belief, Jesus takes a backseat to nothing in my life.

Honestly, I think Christianity is more prevalent, but that could be because of where I am geographically. I like in small town, TX - right in the heart of the Bible Belt. Around here we still have prayer moments every morning, and See You at the Pole day each year since 9/11. Atheism is almost unheard of (we actually have people who don't believe that Atheists EXIST), and our "winter holiday" is still called a 'Christmas Vacation' by the school board. Maybe in some places political correctness is more important, but here... it's Southern Baptists and Christianity as the center of life.

i guess "political correctness" is the new word for "courtesy" and to tell the truth i don't encounter common courtesy much in American society.
however, i do encounter proselytizing Christians on a daily basis so in my personal experience Christian "correctness" is more prevalent.
PS. how sad that Christianity and political correctness/courtesy are apparently mutually exclusive. Fundy Christians sure complain a lot about having to be politically correct/courteous.

I think political correctness started off with a collective desire to discourage racism, insensitivity and homophobia but has escalated into a kind of cult on campuses with advocacy for extreme leftist views, adherence to a Soviet-style party line, a hatred of faith, mistreatment of liberals, independents, moderates, conservatives and dissenters, etc. The radical left engages in harassment against those who disagree and criticize. Their words and actions violate the principles of free association, free speech, academic freedom, freedom of the press, etc. They use bullying, politeness and attempts at censorship to stop people. This is coming from a moderate who supports many aspects of progressive politics and libertarianism.
As for faith, it is more important to Americans than Europeans and Canadians but religion should not be mixed with politics.

one feeds off the other... christianity has a habit of using the kindness of socities and their laws to back stab the societies... being polite or politically correct in the case of religion is damaging to our understanding of the world... letting people say what they want in a religious context and putting their religious rhetoric above our individual rights is very wrong... for instance... they are looking to remove the teaching of evolution in our public shcools... why are the religious given respect because they are religious yet they show absolutely no respect for our values and our understanding.... at one point we are going to have to tell them they are the evil of the earth despite being politically correct...

Why do the two have to be seperate from each other? I think Christians should be just as politically correct as everyone else. Its about respect.

Religion, not actual relationship with God, is more prevalent.
Religion is a cheap substitute which gives people the illusion that they have what they need without giving God obedience. Yeshua (Jesus) said, the first and most important commandment was to love G-d with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Religion asks for much more and much less.

unfortunately, political correctness has taken precedence, people are so concerned about not hurting anyone's feelings and saying things like physically disabled instead of handicapped. It's the same thing!

Considering that for whatever reason people still hold some sort of empathy for those with religion, I would say that political correctedness.
