None of them bother me here.
Wait, except for the one who told me it was ok my father was killed by Hurricane Katrina because of the Gaza Pullout. That enmity will take a bit of time to ease.
In person, the only ones that bother me are knocking on my door. The ones in the forum can be fun, entertaining, friendly and enlightening at various times.
Then, there's Francine...

Of course not. I'm Jewish and I love "bible pushers."
I first explain to them that I'm Jewish. And I'd love it if they would sit down with me and study Torah together. The only thing I ask them is that we stick to the plain meaning of the words and go no further. I assure them I will say nothing to disagree with their faith.
Manytimes they DO sit down with me and we have a great Torah study. They are fascinated by the different meanings of the Hebrew words and how it can affect the meaning of the passage. Most christians' souls are moved when they hear Hebrew being spoken.
I know that if a Christian comes to my door, it is because they were sent from G-d. If I can help them learn one thing that will help them along their spiritual path, it has been good. And in the process, when we study the Torah together, I might learn something that will help me along my spiritual path.
Shalom,
Gershon

I agree with vesper on this one as well. I've actually learned how to politely blow them off. Besides the biggest bible pushers usually are the biggest hypocrites anyway. I'm thoroughly happy with my beliefs thank you. Ok, here's a good example, last week at work a guy was repeatedly telling me Jesus loved me. Now I would've taken him seriously if he was'nt drunk off his a*s, and buying another 40 of King Cobra.

UGHH! I hate Bible pushers! and I'm a Chirstian. Being a self-righteous, pompous, judgemental person helps no one. Preaching at people is just anoying. "THE END IS NEAR! REPENT SINNERS OR YOU'LL GO TO HELL!" I hate it. All the "christians" who stand on their soap box too tell everyone how great they are and how horrible you are. Yes, some are Christians and some aren't, but we're all sinners and all equally guilty. GRRR....

I have never spoke to anyone like that in my life, I have let people know that I am praying for them but I don't mean it in a bad way. If it is someone I know and care about I'll pray for them. That just about sums it up for me as well.

I once had a bible thumper corner me in the mall, hug me and offer to pray with me, right then and there.
I was weirded out. I don't want anybody to pray for me (Chances are, any believer who reads this will now pray for my "eternal soul").
Those people piss me off.

If anyone accuses me of worshipping Satan, I'll pretend to cast a spell at them and then laugh at their absolutely ridiculous reaction like as if it was real.

God has a wonderful sense of humor...I used to despise Bible pushers..like what the hell are you trying to prove...are you trying to convince yourself of this Bull&^%*? Leave me the ^%&$ out of your neurosis...please.
But then I began to seek God and He found me. Guess what..I became what I hate. So do you see God's sense of humor? The interesting part of all of this is that if someone hates/questions/feels sorry for me it is no problem because I used to get pissed off about guys like me, I understand...I used to feel the same way.
How can I be offended by or write off an agnostic philosopher who was "me" 18 years ago? 160 IQ, briliant refuter of the faith, classic skeptic, skilled debater of "god" foolishness...oh yeah, that was me....but now God has revealed Himself to me and I am stuck...I can't refute it or let it go...so what am I to do? It is obvious...use the gifts that God gave me for His glory..
Rock on !!!

I've not really experienced much of that. I've passed them a few times, (Old men handing out bibles (new testaments)) I just ignored them. I felt sad for them, it really made me genuinely depressed thinking about the fantasies they live in.

the bible thumpers have worked very hard to ruing the earth.... there is no life after death.... hell is what the christians make of life on earth for the rest of us... it is an insanity that we have to fight them to peacefully enjoy our time here.... something certainly has to be done about it... don't you think?
