One major reason is, there was no printing technology in olden days. Even if some one want to share his ideas he can prepare only one copy using palm leaves (In India).

Also in olden days everything was secret. Most of the techniques were kept very secret. In order to learn the secrets one has to give respect to the person who knows it. In general, aged people had that informations or secrets. i.e the technology.

Normally, an yougster has to learn everything either from his father or from a teacher. If not they respect them they can not learn any technique or subject.

Today, is the world of information. Information is available in finger tips. Why the elders are to be respected...? Unless otherwise they are genuine...?

The young people are intlelligents. They know this secret.

I believe that younger generations are much more educated and are given much more liberty than what they may have been two decades ago. Laws regarding child abuse give young people much more power over their elders also.

At times elders may be quite close minded and stubborn and vice versa due to their lack of education and differentiating lifestyles growing up. This may often cause communication barriers amongst the two generations because relating and understanding one another becomes difficult due to disagreements.

For these reasons there is a higher tendency to experience back chatter and disrespect from young people

Because they are young and young people are always need more freedom. They dont had more responsibility. When the responsbility comes on them than automaticly they understrood them mistake and do more responceble and respected also.

I think you are elder one, you just think your past when you are young that time ur elders are also complaint about the same. So this is genration gap.

When elder people r change with genration than automaticly solve this problem.

As a guy or woman who does a job the place I meet a great type of young human beings and not in a sturdy way... I ought to agree that they don't seem to be taught values at living house. Many babies at the instant are the 0.33 or maybe forth technology of offender interior the kin. What place fashions have they have been given to coach them admire and the version between ideal and incorrect? I additionally experience political correctness has long gone far too far. i won't do my job as many might desire it achieved, as i could be breaking the regulation. instructors actually have a confusing job because of the fact the youngsters who elect to evaluation will not be able to because of the fact of those youths. ASBO's can artwork however the families and courts must be in the back of them. The youths understand that in the event that they breech their asbo the courtroom won't provide them any punishment which will lead them to think of two times approximately doing it back. I additionally think of that oldsters who have been ruled with an iron rod on an analogous time as starting to be up are on occasion extra lenient with their babies and boundary's at the instant are not set or constantly moved so the youngsters run wild. This of direction isn't the case in each and every kin because of the fact have faith it or not there are nevertheless advantageous babies available. We only ought to attempt and placed across our young ones up as ultimate we are able to and supply them the final initiate in existence.

The elders are wiser in lessons of life, but perhaps not so much in the technological sense. Teenagers are rebellious because that is what we deem as acceptable. If a child is spanked, for example, they might soon call it child abuse.
There are lesser restrictions, and more freedom. Please do not think me redundant, as I will explain the difference. With more freedom, children, for example, might wander farther from home to play. While they are allowed to roam, they are not allowed to stay past dark, let's say.
With lesser restrictions, they may be allowed to roam free already, even stay past dark. These- and many more- have caused children to disrespect their elders.

For one, the influence of the media and entertainment industry is a big factor. With too much exposure to films and music nowadays, teenagers tend to follow their idols without much consideration to values and ethics. We all know that current actors/actresses and music artists go for experimentation for the sake of "art" (hence, the "emo" culture, gangs, sex, crime, etc). Because kids nowadays would love to be in the cool groups and cliques, they engage in these stuff and lose their respect for their elders.

Their are many resons for this. It may be because of Generation gap between us. Also most of the family nowdays preffer to liive in single family without their gand parents. So many of the childrens don't know why grand parents or some elder are important to us.
I agree that they don't think alike us but this dosen't mean that they are stupid. They may be not more educated then us but they are have more eperience then us.

Well they don't respect anything - teachers, the law, their boss nothing! They're spoiled by parents who feel guilty because they have to work and don't see the kids much. They ply them with phones and TVs and IPods and god knows what else so the kids end up feeling entitled to everything. They never have to earn anything so nothing is worthy of respect.

when I was a child, I was taught that if Mr. Or Mrs. Smith down the street said something to me, I was to do what I was told. If Mr. Smith said come into the house, I would have. I had to teach my son that If Mr. Smith down the street said to come into the house, run like heck! Trust was gone in one single generation. Rules changed. The community changed. Traditions lessened and the value placed on our elderly lessened which is sad. They really do know more than we do.
