Stained glass windows keep the cold outside
While the hypocrites hide inside
With the lies of statues in their minds
Where the Christian religion made them blind
Where they hide
And prey to the God of a ***** spelled backwards is dog
Not for one race, one creed, one world
But for money, effective, absurd

Do you pray to the Holy Ghost when you suck your host?
Do you read who's dead in the Irish Post?
Do you give away the cash you cant afford?
On bended knees and pray to Lord?

Fat pig priest, sanctimonious smiles
He takes the money, you take the lies
This is religion and Jesus Christ
This is religion cheaply priced
This is Bibles full of libel
This is sin in eternal hymn
This is what they've done
This is your religion
The apostles were eleven
Now there's a sod in Heaven

This is religion
There's a liar on the altar
The sermon never falters
This is religion
Your religion.

Why the heck do people still believe in religion and God? I am not an atheist; I'm agnostic because, obviously, we don't know much at all about the universe and how we were created. It's stupid to come up with an answer when we haven't got a definitive one. So I ask those of you who believe in God: why are you so sure? Yes, clearly there was something or another that created everything, but that doesn't mean it was supernatural or God. If you are so sure that your religion is correct, then I laugh at you and everyone else who is so sure that THEY are right. There's absolutely no proof behind Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, or other religions. If you're going to cite your religious text to say that that's why you're right, then think about how likely it is that it isn't mythology. Regardless, NO ONE has the correct answer to how we were created, and to claim so is silly. Why do people believe in such a silly and obscure tradition? We're no longer in the Dark Ages.

Just kind of curious what other Christians think about this. I personally am non-denominational but basically Pentecostal. However I feel I could go to any Christian church regardless of denomination and worship. Whether it were baptist, methodist, catholic, or any other Christian church. To me as long as they serve Jesus that is the important part. Do the other Christians here agree with me?

I often have family over for the holidays and I try to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. My mother came to visit for the holidays and I showed her my new place (I live in a different state). I then showed her the guest room and she went into my bedroom, saying, "This is where I want to sleep." I informed her, "No, this is where my husband and I sleep. We made up the guest room for you." "Well, I don't want to stay in there; I want to stay in here." I said, "No, you cannot sleep in here. We also have a pullout sofa bed and a futon in the family room if you don't want to be in the guest room." She said, "Well, if I can't sleep where I want, then I will go to a hotel." I decided to drop it for the time being. But then she began rearraging my things, moving the furniture and redecorating my house and I told her to put everything back. She refused. I told her to put it all back, and she said, "If I can't fix it up the way I want, then I'll just change my ticket and go home."

The barister said the devendant had a 'Verbal exchange' before the assault. The judge said "What exactly did the defendant say?" The barister ajusted his wig and gown, looked the judge right in the eye and said "You fu*king wan*er your honer!"
I wanted to burst out laughing but that would have been contempt of court

People who think like that have political positions in our government.

How scary is that?

How can we change that.?

How can we return to what was intended by our forefathers, the SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE?

I believe we have to get out and VOTE!!!

People have said that if you tip bad you go into the businesses database so drivers will know if you're a bad tipper. I've thought about this and don't want anyone to do anything bad to my food. Not that I'm a bad tipper. I tip at least 20% for dinners and 15% for lunch.

The salesman stopped at a farmhouse one evening to ask for room and board for the night. The farmer told him there was no vacant room.
"I could let you sleep with my daughter," the farmer said, "if you promise not to bother her."
The salesman agreed. After a hearty supper, he was led to the room. He undressed in the dark, slipped into bed, and felt the farmer's daughter at his side.
The next morning he asked for his bill.
"It'll be just two dollars, since you had to share the bed," the farmer said.
"Your daughter was very cold," the salesman said.
"Yes, I know," said the farmer. "We're going to bury her today."

KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Sudanese protesters demand death for teddy teacher

Hundreds of Sudanese Muslims, waving green Islamic flags, took to the streets of Khartoum on Friday demanding death for the British teacher convicted of insulting Islam after her class named a teddy bear Mohammad.

"No one lives who insults the Prophet," the protesters chanted, a day after school teacher Gillian Gibbons, 54, was sentenced to 15 days in jail and deportation from Sudan

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 months and I'm spending Christmas with his family. I don't have much money, but I want to give his mom and dad (in their 60's) an inexpensive gift, and something for his 10 year old nephew, and 14 year old niece. I thought I'd spend $10 or $20 each. What's appropriate to give to people I've only just met?

I'm doing a project on confessing and I myself am not Catholic I just go to a Catholic school. We got this hand out on confessing but it's slightly confusing and I can't tell the order in which it goes. So any steps you can tell me about why confession is good and the steps to doing it including the prayers would be good! THanks!
