Don't they claim that the non believers and those that don't believe that the pope is the Vicar Of Christ are heretics? Weren't heretics put to death for their beliefs until not all that long ago? Wasn't this the cause of millions of deaths in the last 1700 years? Is this really all that different from what we're seeing today with islam? Which the papacy invented around the 7th century to control the arabs, but it backfired on them.

I am not a violent person and would hesitate to swat a fly but I do know that there are times that violence and even killing is necessary. What did Jesus say about warfare? What were his instructions on how we are suppose to conduct ourselves if we find ourselves in armed conflict?

Has anyone made you scared or you get unusual people at your door that you hesitate to open it. I have and never would I open my door again. I feel opening my door to a stranger is opening your abode to destruction or worse.

I am not talking about when a young person dies, but when an old person dies. Especially when they are in their 70s-90s. Some people are just distraught that their loved one died. As if they were going to live forever. I can understand crying or knowing that you are going to miss them, but to act shocked and dismayed is silly.

I say move over, you had your chance at this world, it is someone else's turn.

Great show & I really enjoyed it, as it was one I'd never seen. The last original member of the Drifters performed, & they said that he passed away two weeks after the show that aired last night. I do remember hearing about that not so long ago.

Here's my question, if the bible was written 3500 years ago, how come there is no proof of any of it? Yet, Egyptian history is older and there's much more proof of it. Why is that? Proof isn't "Look around you " or "the bible says so"

Two days ago I learned that two fo my friends killed themselves three months ago. I felt as if they'd basically disappeared of the face of the earth; no one told me what happened, because everyone was afraid I'd be hurt. I guess no one realized that not KNOWING what happened to them for three months was bad enough.

Just a couple of minutes ago, I found out that another friend of mine just killed himself today.

Life officially and completely sucks.

Do you ever feel this way? Like things couldn't get any worse, then they do?

It seems like everyday at my workplace they are collecting for something. bridal showers, baby showers, retirements etc. I AM SICK OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now there is a holiday party they are collecting for. They want to collect 20 dollars a person to get it catered from a local deli. Which means to me 20 dollars for a stinking sandwich. I have had enough and I don't want to contibute my money anymore. My husband thinks I should just chip in because it is not worth the entire office hating me. But I bring my own lunch in each day and to me, this day is no different from the rest. What should I do?

I want to know why tipping has gotten so out-of-control? I personally believe that you start the bar at 10%, and a server earns anything above that. Otherwise, if they give me poor service, I will give them less than 10% if anything. Why is there such a sense of entitlement that patrons should pay for their cost of living? Their employers should be paying them more so they can live. Without us ordering food, those restaurants wouldn't make any money. The servers are simply bringing us the food we are paying for. As such, why should we have to tip so much? On top of that, I highly recommend people tip based on pre-tax. Lastly, I completely disagree with tipping at coffee shops. You are paying $4 for an overpriced coffee and are expected to drop another buck or two for someone who is in a clean, cakey-work environment, who usually is making ? $8/hr. I would rather tip the poor underpaid McDonald's guy who is having to deep fry fries all day. The tipping logic makes no sense!

The place I go to is expensive and it has a no tipping policy. So, extra money or a tip cannot be accepted. I'm not sure how much to spend or what to get. I've been going there every 7 weeks for about 8 months. She's really good at cutting my hair.

I hate it when people make fun of disabled people. It is wrong and sad and should be banned. People mock them because of their conditions which they couldn't help. I'd love for them to be in disabled people's shoes for a day and see how they like it. I work part-time at a special needs center, and I they tell me the ridicule that they get. See to me honest, the people how make fun of them : they are the mentally retarded at heart. Do you agree ?

It's for a group project. I believe (not so sure) Judaism was the first religion that is credited for monotheism, but we have to do a venn diagram for Judaism , Islam, and Christianity. My group members are saying that monotheism stems for all three of them, but I thought that Islam and Christianity adopted monotheism from Judaism. I'm little unsure of what to put down and exactly where. By the way, this project is about contributions made by those three religion to both the world and other religion. So, technically, the more accurate question would be did all three religions contribute monotheism to today's world? Any ideas?
