Yes, God created the universe...though using the past tense to describe the process may give people the wrong impression. I believe God is still creating the universe...specifically, he is still creating humans...his creation isn't finished yet!
Why did he create humans who choose other religions and then send them to hell? The way I see it, God created humans because he had a grand vision for their purpose...for their role in this universe. That purpose clearly requires us to learn something in God's classroom...the earth...and if we can learn it, only then do we have any value in God's long-term plans.
Trying to understand the grand scope of this purpose is beyond our means. We can barely understand only a small fraction of our own purpose (and many don't even acknowledge that much). However, one thing we can all understand is that a child doesn't pop out of the womb fully developed...that what we are today is the result of a lifetime of experiences that moulded the original product into something quite different. To become a functioning adult, newborn babies have to learn so many things...why would God's creative process be any different? To become fully functioning humans (as defined by God), we need to go through a similar process of learning and growth.
Your last question reminds me of a story I heard a long time ago. The youngest child in a large family was the center of attention...all his needs were anticipated and provided for by someone in the family. Everyone was worried about the child (and consequently, did even more for him) because he still wasn't talking by the time he was three years old. One morning at breakfast, this child shocked everyone by saying, "The oatmeal is kind of lumpy this morning". "You can talk?" his confused mother asked, "then why didn't you say anything until now". The child's response, "Because everything was so perfect until now that I never had anything to say".
Perhaps God created murderers (and others) because he knew that creating the perfect human requires the presence of hardship...if there was no sin in the world, why would we need anything from him? Just as the process of becoming an adult requires us to let our child experience positive and negative consequences, the process of becoming a human being that can contribute to his plan requires God to allow us to suffer hardships to bring about real growth. A child that never faces any tough decisions won't know how to handle the tough choices that go with being an adult. Perhaps humans that don't learn how to handle the existence of murderers won't be able to handle something we'll face in his kingdom...and if so, wouldn't it be unbearably cruel to make them face this challenge OR to make others suffer because they don't know what to do?

Well since everyone has different opinions it depends on your beliefs you may or may not go anywhere. But religion though is a real thing it was started by man and everyone has basically two doors to follow hypothetically and that door opens more doors. But like yin and yang without good there is no evil it is a balance and people without religion or a different religion aren't doomed to it as long as they are good people that is all that matters and some people are over-dramatic on some things. But god and many other gods could exist and they could not exist it depends on what you believe in sometimes and not what others tell you like on here. And in every truth there is a lie or something plain false and in every lie there is some truth.

Really, these are questions you have to answer for yourself. There are manymany religions that believe they are the one true way to see god or gods. I can't tell you what is "true" and neither can anyone else. All that matters is what you believe. A belief can never be true or false, it is all a matter of opinion. If you choose to believe that an all-powerful god sends people to hell, then that is fine. If you prefer to believe that hell doesn't even exist and anyone is able to know god, then that is fine too. Don't let anyone tell you what is right or wrong, believe in your own convictions.

It is religion that tells us these kind of things - and there is no proof for anything they say.
What you have to do for your own peace of mind, is to sort out what do you believe in?
Do you think religion is truthfully honest with us? (What if they are just passing on propaganda to us, and believe in it themselves? Their 'preaching' tells us this is so.)
If you treat what they say as 'information' how does that information stand up to critical analysis and scrutiny? Does it make sense in any way? Is there any logic to it?
All you can ever do - is to look at the world, and your own observations, etc and see what that tells you?
That murderers do their actions by their own choice - it is always a personal decision made by them - the same with all evil acts - you don't see evidence of the devil in action. And the same can be said of God - no God is to be seen, heard, felt, touched, etc etc there is no evidence or fingerprints of God to be seen anywhere - there are only people speaking for God all the time, with nothing to back up what they are saying - meaning no God exists to confirm what they say.
And so religion is much like politics and politicians - all they are after is control and manipulation over you. They put on a pretence of acting for your good, but all they do, is want power and control for themselves (in the name of God or for the good of the country, etc) - but all we ever see, is them reaping the benefits of being in control and power. They take away peoples' personal power, and make themselves greater/higher than you.

Every religion believes that every other religion are going to be the ones going to hell. It's a vicious circle.
Although it's been said to death on here, God created us with free will. That means the free will to do your own choosing, even if it goes against him. You pay the consequences in the end. If that means going to hell, then so be it. You choose your own morals by which you lead your life.

Absolutely!!! It used to be whatever extra formal, but I used to speak to Him something the intent and on account that I saved ahead to my possess ambition and needs, while He gave me avertisements I stored none and did my means going into increasingly trubles! Into an finish, inside a deep depresion, He stored my existence (!!!) the very moment I left away of all my deep needs... There, empty middle, I used to be full of God's Light and Peace and Love - a entire New LIFE, a brand new frame, a New Vision over the beyond and the longer term :) :) :) Yes, He is my Saviour!!!

He is a Holy God and he judges sin not people, everyone gets an opportunity to choose where there eternity will be spent, it takes more faith to disbelieve than believe, God gave us a free will, and He inst a man capable of lying, lets say i told you not to walk out in front of a train, but you decided to walk out in front of the train would it be my fault.. as for other religions there can only be one way, if you were in Texas and wanted to go to Florida could you get on any road to get there or would you have to have the proper directions........GBU

truth is no one knows how the universe was created, most want to believe it is ruled by an all powerful god but no one really knows.
Hell however is an invention of the Christan's, mainly, to keep the flock in line by fear. I do not believe the Creator is an ever present part of our lives, he would get bored too easily.

Yup, Genesis explains the creation in 7 days, God wanted a relationship with us humans, but God doesn't want us to go to hell that why in John3:16. we loved the World to save us, its your choice to accept it. So He done his job, of saving us from going to hell,..hell was for the devil only, but sense Adam sinned it made a path way for unsaved people to go hell. and god didn't make anything bad in this world..that all the Devil it says in John 10:10 the devil is the thief...and if you read later on, it says Jesus came to save us.
