That's false theology that contradicts what the Bible clearly teaches.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Matthew 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' 44 "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' 45 "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' 46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

The limited information from the Bible on which this question is based appears at Revelation 20:1-3. We read: “I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations any more until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while.”
Now, what will be Satan’s state when he is in that abyss? Well, we cannot say anything that is based on personal experience, for we are not and never have been spirits. Furthermore, the Bible does not indicate that any spirit creatures have been put in that abyss in the past. Neither does it describe in detail what Satan’s condition there will be.
There is only one indication that we have as to his condition: When the man Jesus died, he was put into a tomb. While dead he was in Hades or the common grave of dead mankind. The apostle Peter pointed that out at Acts 2:31. Yet over in Romans 10:7 the apostle Paul wrote under inspiration: “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.” Note that the word “abyss” is used, and not “Hades” or mankind’s common grave, where Jesus was.
When Satan is in that abyss mentioned in Revelation chapter 20, he will definitely not be in Hades, for he is not a human and he will not be assigned to the common grave of dead mankind. But in view of Jesus’ dead condition while he was in an abyss, we can conclude that during the “thousand years” Satan will be in a state of deathlike inactivity; he will have no conscious existence anywhere, and so will be unable to “mislead the nations.”
Apparently Satan will be temporarily revived or resuscitated after the thousand years, for the Bible says that he will “be let loose for a little while.” He will not be resurrected as if he had a potential to act righteously and live forever. To the contrary, the Scriptures indicate that after he is allowed to test mankind briefly he will be eternally destroyed by being cast into the lake of fire, which “means the second death.”—Rev. 20:10, 14.
‘But,’ some may query, ‘does that mean that when Satan is in that abyss he will be “dead” exactly the same as when a human is dead in the grave?’ We simply cannot say. The above is based on a parallel between Jesus’ condition while he was dead in an abyss for parts of three days and the fact that Satan will be in an “abyss” for one thousand years. Remember that Jesus was a human with a body of flesh, while Satan, as a spirit, does not have a body of flesh. So, since at present we lack any additional information from experience or the Bible, all we can say is that evidently while Satan is in that abyss he will be in a condition of deathlike inactivity and unconscious as was Jesus.

Not quite. What I believe is that there are different levels of hell. Some parts of it are worse than others, and some people are there for longer than others. Just think about it. If there were only 2 extreme possibilities for everyone on earth, either heaven or hell, why would there need to be a Judgment Day? I believe that anyone who has not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be judged on that day according to how badly they have sinned. Then after they have served their consequence, I think that their soul will simply disappear and cease to exist. However, I think that Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet will be there literally forever.

I think it goes like this. Right now everyone is given the oppor tunity to learn about christ Jesus our savior and can either choose to accept him or not. Well when armageddon occurs the faithful and the not faithful will be sorted out and the faithful will inherit the earth and the wicked will perish and be sent to hell. Then there will be another period where all the faithful will have to stay faithful and undo what wickedness has done to our earth. Basically the righteous will make the earth a paradise again. Then the lord god will ressurect all who have died both wicked and faithful then give everyone the chance to live righteously because they know now what wickedness has done for them. Then god will sort out the good from the evil and they will perish for good and will never be brought back again, including the devil. This is how I understood the teaching to be but I will not swear that is exactly how it is.

Maybe where they got this is Revelation 20:7-14. Where it tells where satan will be loosed for a season, (while) to try and deceive the nations one last time, then when the time is up for him, he will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone for ever and ever.
20:11-15 Then those who are in hell will be brought up and be judged and they will be case into the lake of fire with the others.
But no; satan and those in hell will not be saved, satan was in Heaven and he chose his resting place, those that are in hell now had their chance when they were upon earth. After death there is no more chances.

Not according to the Bible and mainline Christian beliefs.
However, I don't doubt you heard this somewhere. Generally speaking, people are always hoping that hell won't be forever either through eventual release or annihilation. But the thing is, you have got to consider what people are being saved from. Some will say their sins or from hell, but ultimately, we're saved from God, his wrath and judgment. Rejecting God is in life incurs God's punishment which is eternal separation from him. The place where these souls are sent is currently hell (which is basically a holding cell), but for eternity it will be the lake of fire (the final judgment against those who reject God). Once you've made that decision and you've been judged for it, there's no going back. If you wish to be pardoned for your sins, now's the time to act.

there's alot if different perspectives on this. I've heard one that said that fire is a metaphor, due to the fact that in several places in the bible fire was used to purify different things. This perspective believes that the lake of fire will purify the souls who are cast into it and eventually those will be purified enough to also enter heaven.
Another perspective states that when the bible talks about souls entering hell, that they will be destroyed forever. this perspective also points out a passage in the bible that souls put on eternity only AFTER entering heaven. This perspective uses the logic that our souls are NOT eternal, and therefore those that enter hell are DESTROYED (as opposed to suffering for eternity...after all, why would God cause a person suffer for eternity for a mere 60 years of sin?), and those souls that enter heaven are made eternal only after getting there.
Of course, you also have the "suffering for eternity" belief, also.
Which one is the right interpretation? Its up to each believer to interpret the bible for themselves.

Sounds like some kind of mixed-up account of Muslim hell.
Don't throw stuff...I didn't say it was accurate. But you can get out of Muslim hell, I think--it seems like there's no purgatory in it, but you might be able to get out. You can get out of Buddhist hell eventually, too.
But I don't know about the traditional Christian Satan. He's usually bound and thrown into outer darkness or something like that.

Yes, I believe in that. We think that 'Hell' is 'for eternity' ...but since God is 'outside of time and space' what may be 'eternity' to us could be as 'short' as three days or a month or two. Whatever ... God has 'plans' we won't be able to 'know about' until we are ALL 'in Heaven' (God's universe) ... and THEN we'll learn 'the rest of the story.'
