The place I go to is expensive and it has a no tipping policy. So, extra money or a tip cannot be accepted. I'm not sure how much to spend or what to get. I've been going there every 7 weeks for about 8 months. She's really good at cutting my hair.

a voucher or cash inside a card nobody'll know

A Christmas card with a certificate to a day spa, where sdhe can get the very hands that cut your hair papmered.....(mani-peti, type thing).

It's simple, not over the top, and what lady wouldn't love a day of being made a fuss over, after making a fuss over so many? And it's small enough to be considered a nice gesture.

Do you know anything about her personal tastes? I am getting my hairdresser a special edition cd (we are both big Springsteen fans), a candle from Bath & Body Works and some nice hand cream. Perhaps a gift card to her favorite store or a nice restaurant, also a nice card letting her know how happy you are with her work is always great.

I usually give my hairdresser a gift card to a nice restaurant. I found out this year that she really loves coffees so I will give her a basket of various coffees, biscotti, a mug and a starbuck's gift card.

wife is a hair dresser, herself and coworkers like cash. Some gift cards have extra charges if not used in time and not everyone likes Starbucks. You could slip her the cash and just tell her or him don't open till you get home and say this is for you cause your a friend or whatever but not cause you do my hair.

a gift for your hairdresser? hm... i'd have to agree, a starbucks card would be good, or just any kind of place to grab a bite to eat real quick (a deli or something like that)
