You have internet? I wouldn't call that grounded.

She can't change what you believe.

She'll eventually realize that grounding you is not going to change you beliefs. Don't let her guilt-trip you, and don't change your beliefs to suit her. It may take a while, but she'll eventually realize that she cannot control what you believe no matter how hard she tries. If she tries to force feed you religion, tell her that she's wasting her time because she can't force you to believe something you're not willing to believe in.

She may try to ground you until you "change your mind." Let her. I mean, grounding really isn't that bad, and this could serve a purpose. The longer you're grounded and refuse to give in to her, she's going to realize that you're serious and that you're not going to change no matter how much she grounds you. It worked for me when I was a kid.

Good luck.

Well as I see it you have two choices. Stay in your room until your mother realizes she can't control your beliefs or leave home. Whetever you do, don't compromise on something that you believe in (or in this case DON'T believe in).

There are certainly worse things than being grounded. I spent a lot of time in my room and learned all kinds of great things while I was there. Besides, you obviously still have internet access, it can't be all that bad. She will come to her senses sooner or later, just be patient.

You are on the internet. I doubt you're suffering.
If she really grounded you, she'd take away everything.

She'll get over it. Just lay low and don't make a big deal out of your atheism.

If my daughter used the "f" word to me, I would not be happy, either.

I'm sure you'll find a way to get out of the house.

Talk to her about what you believe and why you believe it or if that fails work out how far your bedroom window is and if it's worth the broken bones. Good luck sorting it out, i'm going to wait till I move out before I tell my family.

Stand by your beliefs. Grounding isn't forever. At some point you will wear her out.

It is clear that she loves you but doesn't know the right way of reaching you. You should reach out to her and have a heart to heart.

If you're young enough to be grounded, then it is her responsibility to do her best to raise you right. Obey and honor your parents - that's a universally accepted way for children to behave.
