money is not the root of all evil.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains.
The translation 'root of all evil', though within the definitions from the original Koine Greek, is not really quite as accurate for the thought of the original verse as the choice of the definition, 'injurious things', which also is, according to Strong's, a reasonable usage from the original Koine Greek.

Tithing is in the bible. It symbolizes giving a percentage back to the Lord for what He has done for His people. It is the love of money that is a sin - NOT tithing. It is for the support of the church; for the needs of the church. The congregation supports the church through tithing. Also, because Christ was the offering for sin by God, it is a symbol of our offering unto God.
Hebrews 7:4 - Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

You have it wrong.
THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil.
There is a difference.
The money goes to the upkeep of the building, the salaries of the minister, organist, treasurer, etc. The church has to be heated and cooled. The grounds have to be kept up. Things tear up in any building and have to be replaced. The money also goes for mercy ministries. Our church buys canned goods and prepares bags to give to people who stop by and ask for help.

everything has good and bad
we are in kaliyug (the metal age)
evil lives in money and can spring forth if not used properly
example:using money for drugs
money can be used for good such as to survive and buy shelter and food
churches and temples ask for donation
surely donations arent bad are they? also the money that temples and churches ask for does no cause any harm does it? not at all it is used for develepement

because there is a difference. Money can be evil because of the fact that it leads to greed. and greed is a sin. you recieve something and your mortal flesh wants more and more. so you continue to get more n more! however when churches ask for it it is for God. and in fact this doesnt even add up. God only ask us for 10% of our earnings yet he gave us his life. So really we are short changing him but he appreciates it. Nothing we give him is worth what he has given us. so we should just be happy that we don't have to go thru what he did...and just give him the 10% he as of us

While it's true that I'm one of those Preachers that doesn't accept or solicit money from people it should still be understood that there are gas bills, electric bills, telephone, water and sewer bills.
Then there may be a salary for the Pastor and office people.
The records of financial dealings is rather complex.

Well, it is this way.
Money is like nuclear energy, it can do much good in good hands, and much bad in bad hands; but it is the lust of money that is the root of all evil.
Nuclear energy in good hands can light a city, in bad hands it can destroy a city.
