Ok anyone who reads now knows this story the story of the Saudi woman jailed and subject to 200 lashes for meeting a man she was not related too. She met the man to retrieve photographs and they were abducted and raped by 7 men. (Yes BOTH were raped).

Why was she punished, for meeting a man she was not related too? (Anyone know what happed to the male rape victim?)

This story has provoked outrage world wide, so the Saudi government now says that she was an adulteress and partially unclothed in the car when her and her friend were abducted and its ok because her husband approves of the punishment. All I can say is WTF? I guess that these men seeing her got so overcome they had to rape her and her companion!!!

Please explain to me how people with such a Stone Age mentality can be considered a primary ally to so many countries in the West. Our President (literally) walked hand in hand with the leader of this country How can we ignore these violations of human rights?

I've been told by loving and cuddly Christians that I will be suffering a "nashing of the teeth" while I burn to a Coco Crisp in the firepits of hell.

What's on the dinner menu in the h e double ll? Can I have food brought to my pit, or is it a community eating sort of thing?

Thanks!

Jock was digging peat at his croft when a passing American tourist asks,

"How much land do you have here?"

"About two acres" Jock replies.

"You know back home it takes me a day to drive around my ranch !" the American boasts.

"Aye", says Jock " I once had a car like that."

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;

Why do Catholics pray to saints, many wonder

In the Catholic understanding, prayer is a "request". When we pray to those who have gone to heaven ahead of us, we are making a "request" of them. And what is that request? It is that THEY pray for US. Protestants do it all the time, but they limit themselves to making this request only of people still on earth. In this, the protestant view of the Church is very narrow. You see, Romans 8: 38-39 says: "neither death nor life... ...neither the present nor the future.. ..neither height nor depth, nor anything else.. ..will be able to separate us". The Family of God transcends death. We ALL LIVE IN CHRIST.

It is important to note that praying to saints is not a requirement of Catholics, just an option: Just as a protestant doesnt HAVE to ask a friend to pray for them, but they can

Heb 12: 22-24 says that as we approach God, Jesus and the angels, we also approach "the spirits of righteous men made perfect". In other words, THE SAINTS

"And they were told to harm no vegetation of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And it was granted the locusts, not to kill them, but that these should be tormented five months, and the torment upon them was as a torment by a scorpion when it strikesa man. And in those days the men will seek death but will by no means find it, and they will desire to die but death keeps fleeing from them."---Revelation 9:4-6

About 6-7 years ago some friends took me to a street in Austin (residential) that was all lit up and looked awesome. The homeowners went all out; it was a big thing, as traffic was lined up for miles just to see the light show. I live an hour north of Austin & want to take my son & hubby to see them but can't remember where it was. Any clues?

Sincerely: let’s reason together…
Obviously for some, the only way for you to believe in God is if God Himself provided some incontrovertible proof to you personally. No one else can tell you of their “proof”, for you can simply reject such “proof” as a lie, delusion, or brainwashing. Yet, God Himself (IF He exists) could reveal Himself to you in an incontrovertible way.

This is what happened to me. I was an atheist. I sat down to read the Bible to prove it wrong, and the Lord God revealed Himself to me, directly and personally – despite having lived over 20 years without perceiving any evidence of the existence of any so-called god.

So please, for just a moment (if it is possible for you), forget all the “assumptions” and arguments about “how this never happens” or how it has never happened to you, personally…

But consider my situation and answer this:
What am I to do now?

Should I just shrug my shoulders at all my former and current atheist friends...?
