"I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants."

I am scheduled to preach in January and would like to begin researching and working on a sermon ASAP. Please include any ideas as well as a possible title. I have preached a few times and have a some ideas but I thought that it would be great to get some ideas from each of you. I belong to a Non-Denominational Church that uses no "Creeds of Man" only the BIBLE as our Guide. Have a wonderful week and a glorious Holiday Season!
Thank YOU,
Eds

and does Islam reject jesus's existence?

Proponants of intelligent design generally claim the theory to be scientific, while atheists accuse them of trying to sneak god into the room wearing science-colored clothing.

It seems to me that the universe, or parts of it, COULD have been designed by an intelligence. But while the universe may be ingenious, it is certainly not perfect. Would intelligent design proponants accept the existence of an intelligent but imperfect creator?

A person told me that they had just started meditating (vipassana) and then they told me that the whole time they were sitting in meditation, it was like they were totally quiet. Like being in the zone, without any thoughts at all. I guess it's like that because the person is totally identified with one's thinking thus can't detect them. So then I wonder what to tell that person if anything? Will the meditation still do it's magical work, even if the person can't detect the thinking? I guess this might be the case, because at least sitting in meditation, regularily each day relieves some stress and healing is going on whether they can see their thoughts or not. I realize that if I tell him he's not doing it right, or something along those lines, then he might get discouraged. It's been so long since I first started, I don't recall how it was the first times.

I know that only I can figure this out, but I just want some other people's opinions...
I have always felt 'different' from everyone else. Like anything a 'normal' person would do, I would do the opposite. I never really was attracted to guys, when I felt like I had to be, I picked a guy in my class who everyone thought was gay (he was also my best guy friend). I have had guys really mess up my head before, so maybe that's why I am feeling this way? I have felt like I could be a lesbian last year, but over the summer I sort of forgot about it. Then I re-found the bad t.A.T.u. all all those old questions came back. It doesn't help any that my friend says they are brainwashing me to feel like this. The only crushes I have had on guys, have been gay guys except for one cleb. I have never had a boyfriend or a girlfriend, so I don't know! I am just scaired and confused. I know everyone my age goes though this, but still. Please help! Thanks.

The other day I mentioned that someone I went to school with was a S L U T; and I offended my mother-in-law by my use of the word. What is a more polite way to describe a woman who sleeps around with men and has no respect for them?

I work with a woman, well, two actually, that I am constantly getting into small issues with. The problem is that they're both insecure & paranoid. I don't really know why. They assume that everything I say...has a hidden meaning. It doesn't. What I say, is what I mean. We've all had a pow-wow about personalities & stuff, and have all agreed to work on how we deal with others. I have tried very hard on my end to understand my coworkers, but I don't think that they are doing the same, and so there continue to be problems. How do I handle a situation like this? We are not the same ethnicity...could this have something to do with it? I'm so confused and frustrated.

I think it is to me, I'm Black woman with a light skin tone like Alica Keys tone but is it offensive to call us "High Yellow" or "Redboned". Well Some of my family members will say "dnag girl you are so high yellow people always ask me are you mix with something". I can't stand that, when people say those things to lighter skin blacks.

In Genesis before Adam and Eve took the fruit, being naked wasn't a sin. They weren't conscious of their nakedness or perhaps they just didn't care. After they ate from tree of knowledge, they became ashamed of their nakedness. God questioned their shame "How do you know that you are naked?"

So why is it wrong to be ashamed of your naked body? If a person feels no shame, while being naked and is comfortable in their own skin aren't like Adam and Eve before eating the fruit?

Why was a woman to go through this purification? Was it because she would bleed after giving birth? I have read Leviticus 12, but I do not really see why this was to be so.
