I see a lot of people who DO believe in God harassing people who DON'T as well (every time I say I don't believe in God, my answer gets like 10 thumbs down). I think both parties are pretty disrespectful toward one another.

The same reason those who do believe in God spend so much time here harassng the ones that don't. Possible reasons include: boredom, childishness, or misdirected hope of enlightening the Others.

I guess it makes them feel better about themselves to beat up on people from the safety of their computers, take out their frustrations they have with themselves on others of whom they are jealous for being able to feel something they can't or won't. And it's not all of them. Just the ones who are filled with hate. Mostly of themselves.

I suppose it's because they're jerks. I don't see any good reasons to impose your own personal beliefs on others, as long as they aren't doing any harm.
