Proponants of intelligent design generally claim the theory to be scientific, while atheists accuse them of trying to sneak god into the room wearing science-colored clothing.
It seems to me that the universe, or parts of it, COULD have been designed by an intelligence. But while the universe may be ingenious, it is certainly not perfect. Would intelligent design proponants accept the existence of an intelligent but imperfect creator?

Questioner: I'm not confusing the two: surely you'd admit that MOST proponants of ID are really just Creationists in scienc-ish clothing?
But if your answer is in earnest, and there are IDers who are not creationists, than I would guess the answer to my question is "Yes"?
